Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandRoom was very basic which was expected, but it also felt quite worn, old and grubby. I was on the first floor with a room facing the road so the sound of the traffic was loud. The breakfast was also not great, any longer than 1 night would be too much.
Comfy bed. The hotel is located near a tram stop so it is quite easy to get in and out of the centre, there is also a supermarket just behind the hotel and a really nice bakery beside it, but there is not much else directly near it.

GeorgiaWi-fi too slow. Small wc and bathroom. Very small space, only beds and case:) But those disadvantages were known by booking, so I do not expected more. To summarise, the hotel is much better, as one can expect.
God location. Just 5 min walking distance from the tram station. Breakfast is minimal, but good quality. Very pleasent personal, ready to help and assist. Behind the hotel located Carefour market, which is also convenient

United KingdomThe rooms were very functional no extras. Very small, glad we only had one night. , We were 2 couples and a baby the room with the baby didn't have much space. The shower in that room was just a dribble of water. When they arrived back late 10pm the key code didn't work and they had to wait till the reception could find a tool to let them in which with a tired baby and after a long day was the last thing they needed. Luckily it was sorted reasonably quickly. The bunk bed above is quite low and easy to hit the top of your head.
Quite centrally located, short walk to catch the tram over the bridge to the main town. Parking in the carrefore supermarket underground was easy and discounted by the hotel to 9 euros per day. The room was quite we were on the 4th floor and glad of the lift. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful speaking good English French and Spanish. A good supply of food for breakfast although no hot food. The hotel was busy but we didn't feel rushed. Glad of the aircon as the weather was unseasonably warm.

PolandThe bathroom smelled a bit like urine, and the AC stopped working properly on the second night. I got it to work again, but then it went out again in the early morning.
The staff were all SO nice. The bed was comfortable, and the bedroom had everything you'd need for a short trip. The breakfast was good. Parking was easy.

FranceA bit of dust in the room If you have a problem whatsoever, can't reach them by phone because of the fancy premium number - it's the same for every Ibis Budget. Don't know how to work around this... Can't use the breakfast room during the day to work on your laptop. Too bad because the space is thus wasted most of the time.

NetherlandsThe only thing that was disappointing was that you have to pay extra for parking, while that is not the case with many Ibis Budget. This may also be due to the fact that the hotel is 5 minutes by car from the center of Bordeaux and that the parking is shared with another hotel and the Carrefoure that is next to it.
The location of the hotel was perfect, in 10 minutes you can walk across the bridge to Place de Bourse in Bordeaux, the parking right next to the hotel is also a plus. The rooms were fine, quality you can expect at an Ibis Budget. Hygiene was fine, and the breakfast was good with a wide choice of products.

United Kingdom1. Toilet in room 316 smelt a bit of urine. 2. Would be beneficial to have a wider selection of tv channels and provide bbc world service for news. 3 breakfast was basic for money.
1. Concierge was helpful by providing alternative transport when the trams were placed on restriction due to the potential violence from protestors.
