Hot water takes 5 minutes to arrive in bathroom.

Very convenient location - across from station, and easy walk from old town centre. Loved the grand decor in the bathroom! and the stairwell. Staff all very friendly.

There were some very dodgy characters loitering and just hanging around the hotel and area. Was kept awake two of my four night stay by noisy, shouting and banging doors from other quests in middle of the night. The center of the city is a short bus ride away; up a long steep hill; but well worth the effort.

It is in front of the railway station.

Up several stairs to lift, which is very narrow, but better than no lift at all. Huge amount of noise from neighbouring room - you could hear every word. Nowhere to hang the shower head - you had to hold it all the time you were showering. Generously sized room, but, unfortunately, this made the room feel sparsely furnished - there were two wooden chairs, a desk and a double bed - as no good use was made of the space. Everything was a bit faded/dated, e.g. plastic flowers in the room. The bed had the old roly-poly type pillow with the pillow wrapped in an extension of the sheet - quite nostalgic, but not comfortable.

Very convenient for railway station and there are some decent restaurants nearby, about 10 minutes walk to town centre. Friendly, helpful reception. Well heated room - it was several degrees below freezing outside.

The area surrounding the hotel is rather intimidating with a number of beggars. The hotel WiFi wasn't very good except on what passes for the lobby but that was usually occupied by some of the more permanent residents!

The location, opposite the station was great if you are arriving later in the evening. It is though about a 20 minute walk uphill to the centre of the old town.

The hotel is a bit oldish. There was an unpleasant smell that stayed with me long after I left. It was also cold at night, although I used an extra blanket.

The welcome and the staff were excellent. The hotel is just two steps from the railway station which is practical if you travel by train.

The room smelled musty, the curtains had huge tears in them, the carpet was threadbare. The bathroom is very dated & needs to be reconfigured because the toilet is in a particularly difficult position, squashed between the end of the bath & the heater. The blankets had burn holes in them. And the list goes on...

Located directly across the road from the train station

The pictures on booking.com did not reflect the actual hotel. Whilst the hotel is situated conveniently in Clermont Ferrand, one of the adjacent streets is in a really bad area of the city. The hotel itself is in a building which is partly empty, the empty part having rubbish and debris visible. The carpet on the stairs to the first floor was torn in a number of places, which as well as looking unsightly is a trip hazard. The hotel and it's rooms are tired and in need of a total refurbishment

The two female members of staff were very good and helpful. The breakfast was good with a reasonable choice. The hotel was well located, about 15 minuute walk from th historic centre of Clermont Ferrand

Stay regularly at this hotel which is opposite the railway station. Helpful staff, good breakfast, excellent for break of journey. Local buses stop right outside hotel.

The hotel is a bit dated, still perfectly acceptable though. Ancient lift - decided to take the stairs!

Good location - just across the road from the station. Friendly staff - rooms were clean, comfortable and airy. The centre is about 15-20 minutes walk away.

Unfortunately the pictures don't reflect on the reality. The area of the hotel wasn't very nice. The rooms smelled of cigarettes even though there was a sign clearly saying that smoking is forbidden in the rooms of the hotel and the beds were very uncomfortable.

Wifi working fine is the only one thing good there

The hotel was very tatty and looked like it needed a good clean which made me uncomfortable and when I pulled back the bed covers there was someone else's hair starring back at me! No facilities to make a drink of any sort either so make sure you buy something. Very much different to the photographs online which must have been photoshopped.

Staff were welcoming. Bed was very comfortable. There was a fan in the room. Quite cheap.

The carpets in room and stairs were a bit worn. Noise of other guests could be intrusive.

My room was very spacious and the bathroom facilities were of a high quality. The staff went out of their way to help me out when I had some difficulties. Buses were handy to the hotel.

I was surprised that there was no room sevice on a 2 night stay - I don't mind making my own bed, but would expect a clean towel without having to ask for it. Lift access involves a few stairs.

The location opposite the SNCF Station is extremely convenient for rail travelers. The fact that breakfast was available from 06.30 was also useful - and breakfast included ham/ cheese/ cereal as well as the 'Continental staples' of bread, jam & croissants

The lift is tiny but we fit all our bags and one person in. This hotel is not suitable for people with reduced mobility for this reason. There are a lot of stairs! Apart from that we really liked this hotel.

Good price, good location. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated rooms. Free wifi. The lovely restaurant down the road gave us a discount because we were staying in the area.

Did not like having to park in street as area was busy with revellers through the night - although luckily car remained undamaged! Charges for car parking 6 euros provided we moved by 9.00 am.

The broken fan in bedroom was repaired for us quickly.
