Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe room was tight, albeit comfortable. The general neighborhood is a little sketchy and uncomfortable if you’re not accustomed to it. The carpets need replacing, although they are kept clean.
The hotel is located close to a main metro line into the middle of the Paris and is just as easily accessed by foot.

United KingdomThere was a 30°C heatwave during our visit and the room got very hot as there was no air conditioning. There was a fan which helped a bit.
The room felt very clean and looked nicer than the pictures. There was a rule that you had to leave your key in the reception every time you left, but the desk was covered 24/7 and the staff was super friendly. The area was also great as there was plenty of restaurants around. I would definitely go back.

United Kingdomthe room was not that comfy and was hot (noisy fan only way to cool room down) but it was cheaper than most other places.
the 24 hour reception and close metro links were really useful for us when our Eurostar was cancelled at short notice. Would recommend for a cheaper base in Paris

United States of AmericaThe only thing I can report negatively, and it is not certain that there's any justice in it -- I just don't know -- but the desk ordered a taxi for us to go from Mazagran to Bercy bus station, a trip that should have been 10-12 euros, but we were charged 45 euros. There was no meter in the taxi. It was a scam. Whether the hotel was complicit in that, I do not know. But the hotel should never order a non-metered taxi, so I must report it.
The bathroom was beautiful and spotless. The desk help was very friendly and spoke good English.

United KingdomThe room was a bit small and the bathroom in particular felt cramped, with no room above the sink to wash your face and nowhere in the shower cubicle to keep any toileteries. Our room (number 21, by the lift on the second floor) faced out onto the street, where local undesirables hung around in the street drinking and shouting until 5am every morning. Luckily we brought foam earplugs or this would have been an issue. I think requesting a room at the back or side of the hotel would eliminate this issue, and the drunks might only hang around outside shouting in the summer months?
The location in the city is great. There's a metro just round the corner so it's easy to get wherever you want to go, and there are lots of vegan cafes/restaurants and bars etc within walking distance. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly enough and the hotel is not expensive compared to others in the city.

NetherlandsNeighborhood was sketchy at night, with many junkies and homeless people making noise at night next to the ATM right in front of the hotel. We had to close our window in order to not hear them. The bathroom tiles were full of mold. Overall I think prices of hotels in Paris are outrageous and for this price in another city you would usually get a much better hotel, but that is something you have to cope with due to the attraction of the city.
Overall location was fine (during the day), relatively close to Notre Dame and next to the metro. Room was comfortable enough and beds were good. Staff at the desk was also friendly.
