The photographs on the website looked fantastic! Room, with its faulty door handle, was, in fact, garish. The four poster bed, draped in bejewelled red and gold fabric, took up virtually all the space in the room and meant there was no overhead light because of its canopy. Curtains were two lots of nets ... the top one being bejewelled red, affording little privacy from the street and letting in the light. Breakfast also basic.

    A spectacular four poster bed!

We arrived in a heat wave and it was 38C. Our room was under the roof and very hot with no AC. At night we used the fan to bring in the air from the outside, and it was hot but bearable. We were provided with bottles o cold water, greatly appreciated, and offered to use the hotel fridge.

The person at reception readily available and very kind. The room was clean and the hotel is well located, short walk to the castle, restaurants and small supermarket. The parking was very easy right in front of the hotel on the street otherwise, plenty of parking spots in each street an square.

Our room was very comfortable and overlooked a lovely square in front of the church. The is a quick walking path to the chateaux. The hotel is very convenient to everything in the town. It is quiet and we slept really well.

This is a unique really good fun hotel situated right in the heart of the village. The manager is a fantastic guy , his wife and his staff are all not to be missed. The bathrooms have been redone brilliantly , the public areas refurbished and pleasant. The rooms are zaney with some lush canopy covered beds. This decor is being changed so book sooner than later if you enjoy the out of the ordinary. Very very welcoming with a desire to invite you into the local life if you are interested . Don't miss the local market down the street.

I wish I had read the reservation a little closer that check-in is only 4-7 and at other times by arrangement. That's my own fault, but it worked out fine.

This hotel was a real joy. The proprietor was more than accommodating and helpful during our entire stay. Bedding was comfortable, the shower was hot, and facility clean and fresh. Since it's centrally located in downtown Sully Sur Loire, everything was within walking distance, including the castle. The folks at the visitor center were tremendously helpful. This was a wonderful hotel to stay for a couple days at the beginning of the Loire Valley trail.

Staff were wonderful, would have been easier if I spoke some French but they were very accommodating. The bathrooms are all new, they are going through renovations at the moment, it should be even nicer in future. Slightly dusty, outside of rooms, due to renovations and the bathroom was not quite finished. Breakfast was simple but nice. It is very close to the Chateau, easy 2 min walk and plenty of parking around. No lift as it is very small, we were helped up the stairs with bags.

The hospitality and kindness of the staff was wonderful. Best and friendliest service we've had in France. Ever. The hotel is quite simple and not expensive but very clean and interesting and with a lovely breakfast. Location near the chateau Sully-sur-Loire is great. But again: the family who run the hotel are lovely and will help you in any way. The welcome coffee and bottles of water say it all. We highly recommend this hotel and the lovely Sully-sur-Loire for those travelling the Loire a velo or by car.

I wish people rating on this site would realize other people make reservations based on these reviews. This hotel is good value for money, but is very basic, small rooms, with old dusty furniture and not very clean ... I do not understand how could anybody rate it fabulous!

    Very friendly reception.

It was very hot in the room due to a hotel not having an air-conditioning. A window of the room must be opened, but noise of cars and bell of church are coming through the window. The bathroom was quite small and it required effort to close the shower door

It is a good hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is in the center of Sully-sur-Loire and it is convenient to visit the city. It has a free parking on the street near the hotel. The staff speaks very well in english. The traditional French breakfast was wonderful.
