The view from our room was beautiful. we could sit outside our room on around the grounds as there were lots of comfortable places to sit and contemplate the scenery. The room was very clean and well decorated and the hotel was tastefully decorated and accessorized. The evening meal was good as was breakfast. the staff were friendly and helpful.Pool was welcome as weather was very hot

    Breakfast could be better.

Singular hotel, with lots of character in a stunning location. Excellent food, which can be eaten on a patio, with gorgeous views of the countryside. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice pool, likewise with great view.

    No complaints whatever.

The proprietor and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Both our room and the public rooms were pleasant and comfortable. We liked the personal touches in the decor. And the food was good.

Problem with heating in our room-- it was much too hot! Blind in room did not work properly.

Beautiful setting, quiet countryside, close to Salers, Puy Mary, other attractions. Big room with plenty of storage; excellent bathroom.

The furnishing and décor, which is certainly not to everybody's taste. The very limited choice on the menu for dinner. When staying at the hotel for three nights I was confronted with exactly the same three choices for each course for dinner on each evening. What ghastly plastic chairs in the dining room! They would look more at home in a children's playground or in a waiting room at an airport! This hotel seemed to lack any form of welcome and one was not made to feel remotely at home. On one evening the waiter came into the sitting room, locked one set of double doors and asked me to leave later by the other set of doors where he had carefully turned off the lights! This was not a very friendly way to be treated and the environment of the hotel was eerily unfriendly. I will definitely not return and I would not recommend this hotel to other people.

The hotel is in a lovely position in the Maronne valley with views over attractive countryside. The swimming pool.

The dinner portions were a little small - we were quite hungry after a 10 hour drive. That said, the food was delicious and beautifully presented.

It was in a beautiful, quiet location. The interior was warm and appealing, the room was so spacious and what a magnificent view from our window.

We booked for the restaurant for the evening and the menu is very odd. The food was generally good but I was served celeriac purée with foie gras! This sort of food would not go down well in fine dining in England of which I have a great deal of experience.

The hotel and grounds are stunning and the room and hotel are extremely comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome

Dinner at restaurant was very good but lacking the choice possible at larger establishments. The atmosphere was very formal and lacked an entertaining, relaxed atmosphere for guests to build upon. The breakfast offered did not reflect the regional farmhouse kitchen feel we were expecting.
