Duvet quite thin although decent heater in room kept temperature up to reasonable level. Toilet/shower room very small with mould in places. Shower tray drainage probably needs cleaning.

The lop-sided and low intensity of the lighting in the room made sitting at the table provided almost pointless, and very difficult to remove contact lens (for example). The warm weather would have been more bearable had a fan been provided in the room. Alternatively, they could have been offered (for a hire fee?) at Check-in. Guests AND staff who smoked would stand in the foyer doorway (and even inside of the building) smoking, the smell of which filled the entire stairwell and lobby and reached (strongly) to the 2nd floor. Not everyone likes the smell of tobacco smoke, especially with their breakfast! Stepping away for the doorway is a simple courtesy to other guests and should be enforced by the hotel management. When we were carrying out our luggage, the cleaning staff had taken their equipment out of the store cupboard and left the vacuum cleaner pipes and cables trailing across the landing at the top of the stairs (on the 2nd Floor), while they were all talking on the ground floor. Serious safety hazard!

Check-in was simple and straightforward, but we were charged for breakfasts that we had already paid for. The breakfasts were refunded by the manager, although they did not tell us until we queries this on the second day as we were checking out.

No air conditioning

Excellent price but be aware there is no air conditioning. Breakfast at 4E. is ok but extremely basic.

Everything was fine apart of breakfast - there was literally no food available, only bread, jam and yoghurt. Next time I would definitely not buy it and prepare something in advance.

It was very warm when we stayed so the room would have benefited from air conditioning.

The hotel is clean, well located and was perfect as an overnight stop off on our journey to the S of France. There even a couple of places to eat near by.

As usual, the lighting in the room is terrible. No bedside or overhead light - just a red glow. Mon Dieu! The noise from the water system and the toilet was so LOUD and went on and on until I fixed it at midnight. Phew! Also, the shower is hot but stuck at a height for a child facing the wall!

I have stayed here about 10 times in 5 years and usually the same room. The female staff are excellent! The Hotel is so difficult to find but worth getting there! Great facilities and quiet rooms if no student groups.

Beds were like concrete. The shower was tiny that I was wrapped in the curtain and my son couldn't fit his shoulders in and he's not huge!!! No air conditioning which at 30+° heat wasn't fantastic.

Modern and fresh. Breakfast was good. Had 3 single bunks so no one had to share
