Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bathroom needs immediate improvement! So is the carpet in the room. Cleanliness of the bathroom is disappointing.
Very good location, very close to the main train and underground station. Nice restaurants arround. Supermarkets within walking distance. We were on the top floor, nice view. Friendly receptionist, especially the night one. Overall, good stay.

Unfortunately, the elevator got broken during our stay there, so we had to walk the stairs and carry our luggage by ourselves :(
The location was great! Almost everything was within walking distance. Also, the staff was friendly and welcoming, especially at reception.

It’s very dated
Great location for Gare de Nord. Lots of very good restaurants in the area and a supermarket up the road. The room was small but warm with everything you need for a few days stay. Breakfast is extra but good.

The place needs maintenance and to renew entries. No Electricitcal outlet near the table. You can't keep the key of the room with you. Very much noise from other rooms. Need more pillows.

The fact that we didn t have any heat. Outside temperatures didn t exceed 10 C during the day and were fairly around 1 degree minimum, yet the staff said, at first, that there s air trapped inside the heating elements and then that the mairie of Paris limited the use of energy.

The place is a bit run down. The carpets in the public access areas are very dirty, the ones in the room are slightly better. However the shower head does not move to angle down. Best way to shower is in stages. ( wet, wash, rinse)

There’s no electric fan inside the room. So what we did we open the big window to have fresh air.

The place is quite run down. Shabby. Although the rooms are pretty clean, the carpet in the hall & stairs is filthy & needs an upgrade. There are no shower curtains, so water goes all over the floor

In the first room in which we checked in there were bed bugs, but then we were moved to another room, and it was processed. However, in another room at the end there was also a bed bug:(
The hotel was in a convenient location a block from the station, while the street was quiet and calm. The hotel is furnished in the spirit of construction, in the Art Nouveau style, almost all rooms have French balconies. The staff is friendly, there is luggage storage.

Location is excellent right beside Garde du Nord.
Brilliant location, great price, clean sheet but the carpet was disgusting, had to wear something on our feet so as not to touch the ground. Breakfast was ok.
