Nice quaint hotel in a great location
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Traditional Double Room
    • Stayed 1 night

The rooms could have been a bit bigger and you could smell the smoke on the walls. We requested twin beds for one of the rooms but didn't get in and check in was a bit difficult even though we had asked for earlier check in.

Location is great, just a few minutes out of the city but within walking distance to the train stations and the tram literally on the doorstep, but with a 5 minute tram. Staff are friendly and nice quiet area

On Sunday morning when we came down for breakfast at 10.00 am there was only one staff helping around 22 people having breakfast and one staff could not cope and we all had to wait for milk hot water which waste our time and was very annoying so the receptionist male came down to help in the kitchen which was good of him.

The room was nice and clean and comfortable

This is a first for me to write a review, but in this instance, I feel obliged to inform potential guests of the frailties experienced in my one night stay at the Hotel Art Deco. Parking; Unable to fit my car into the car park entrance, which is a shambolic size, due to the limited space it is not possible to get the angle in order to swing a saloon car into this car park, coupled with the resident car parking adjacent to the entrance as per the attached photo. When I inquired at the reception for any other car parks in the area, receptionist stated there is only street parking available for a max period of 2 hours. When I asked about what am i going to do after that period, response 'only street parking available' Eventually off my own back I found a 24 hour car park 25mins walk from hotel Breakfast Included; Waited 5-10 minutes for a table to be free at approx 9am. Waited a further 15 mins for the table to be cleaned. Staff failed to provide cutlery etc, request a room number. After 30 mins or so, we ended up leaving without having breakfast. Extremely frustrated and out of pocket considering we paid a premium to have breakfast included. When we approached the reception at check out, we were ushered to pay the city tax, and told the hotel was under staffed, being the only excuse provided for the dire customer service.

The room and bathroom etc was as expected, quite clean to a decent standard.

Parking entry was very narrow. Be careful.

Nice little hotel not far from the city center and next to tramway stop. We had a privilege twin room on the fifth floor. Unlike French hotel rooms this was was very spacious. Despite street side the room was quiet. Personal helpful, hotel and room itself clean and good equipped with fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Free wifi was fast enough. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Closed parking for 10 euros. Compare with city center hotels the prices for room and parking were reasonable. Pleasant hotel to stay for one or more nights.

Excellent Business Hotel Location In The Heart Of Euralille

The lift had a funny way of navigating to the ground floor reception. You had to press the minus button first and then 1 to get -1 which took you to the ground floor. But then there were 3 floors below! There was also no English language TV stations, not even BBC or CNN. But that certainly wouldn't stop me from staying at this great property again!

This was a great place to stay! Pleasantly surprised as the cost was very reasonable. Room was well proportioned, and the fit and finish of the bathroom was excellent. There was a mini bar in the room with complimentary water. WiFi was excellent. Room was quiet too. Overall, and excellent place to stay for a quick layover or even a few days.

Initial stay lacked coffee/tea amenities until asked for. Return stay - aircon off at night, window had to be left open - result, bitten by insects. Staff gave no explanation for aircon being off.

Location was ok once the train ticketing system was mastered. It would help for ticket instructions to be available in other languages at the hotel.

I booked because I love art-deco buildings, but this is really not anything special. The lobby has a few art-deco flourishes, but the rooms and the corridors are just plain. You should only book this hotel because of its location and price.
