Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Francenone that I can think of...
Despite its overall volume, the courtyard by Marriott has kept a warm human touch. The decoration from the lobby, to the restaurant and up to the rooms is harmonious, trendy, yet atemporal. Food is delicious and freshly served. Breakfast is a must. The staff is extremely competent and welcoming. It truly reminded me of the 4 stars hotel we can find in Bangkok, with such a nice attention to details. My stay was short, yet, should I return to Montpellier, there is no other place I would stay.

Sri LankaThe gym has only one yoga mat and I think the hotel should spend €20-30 and invest in a couple more as if there are 2 people or more training only one can use it. Also perhaps have some disinfectant spray handy so we can clean the equipment after use. The water fountain has a very poor rate of flow so perhaps fix that too. All very easy and cheap fixes.
It’s clean it’s functional the staff are great and the rooms are well appointed

United KingdomThe staff in the dining rooms could have been friendlier but in general and overall good hotel .
Great hotel which complied withy our request for interconnecting rooms and even let us check in early to one of them. The staff were efficient and friendly and onsite parking for a fee. Easy to get to town with the tram just opposite the hotel so the location didn't matter so much being so far from the centre of town. Lots of lovely eateries nearby too . Great breakfasts

United KingdomToilet didn't flush properly, low water shower head was not adjustable and provided little water, floor broadloom can never be cleaned (parquet floor please!), windows could barely open onto the nice courtyard dues to some "safety" lock mechanism, felt like being in jail and could NOT get ample fresh air from otherwise nice courtyard. Mediocre breakfast with greasy food, and nothing healthy other than the decent yogourt.

MonacoIn the reviews I saw a high assessment of the cleanliness in the rooms. Upon arrival, after check-in, I entered the room and saw someone else's hair after shaving in the bathroom and dried goats from the nose on the wall in the bathroom 😣 After a complaint to the administrator, they immediately changed my room and apologized

GermanyThe bathroom was extremely dirty. There were hairs on the floor and the toilet was extremely smelly. This is not the standards I would be expecting for a 4 star hotel at this price range. Extremely disappointed with these details that ruined what could have been a good experience.
Comfortable room and friendly service, but the hotel employees surprisingly very little knowledgeable about this area which confused me. The location was great and the surroundings are modern, pretty and with a lot of good bars and restaurants.

United KingdomFelt a bit too sterile in covid times, you couldn’t, get a drink by the pool. Lacking in atmosphere. It felt like missed trick because the outside is so pretty it could be something special. If they had outdoor waiter service and some relaxing music.

SwitzerlandBooking’s website stated that the property would book the amount of the two day stay plus 100 euros of caution on my credit card on the day of check-in. (Around 500 euros) i booked two nights at 240 euros per night. A few hours after my booking was done, hotel had already blocked 1000 euros . I reported the situation and they blamed Booking.com for not keeping their website up to date and that it was standard to charge rate of the room (240) + 250 of caution : around 500 Euros, per night of stay, before arrival on high season. It’s excessive as no show rate would have been around 240.- !!! At check-in they said it was an employee who made an error but did not offer to correct the amount blocked on my card. At check out they went back to say it was booking.com fault not keeping their own website up to date. I thought it was the hotel’s responsibility to keep their intranet up-to-date but I might be wrong. None the less, they should honor what I had on my written reservation and not blame booking.com. Receptionist gave me a room on the main floor with a garden. While I am sure It might be appealing for some, I didn’t feel confortable at all for safety reasons and requested a higher floor. They were some available as I checked-in early but they wouldn’t give it to me. Receptionist told me to go to my room and call from there ??? Weird… anyway I went to the room, called back reception immediately and they told me to come back to reception, a bit exasperating to say the least. There, they told me the “rooming” (attribution of rooms for the night) was already done and it was complicated to re-assigna room in their system, although it was early afternoon and I was one of the first guest to check-in and I did told them up-front at arrival. I asked to see the manager 3 times which they declined and finally gave me a top floor room which was perfect with balcony, as expected and as shown on the pictures.
Nice to have a balcony with the superior room. Room was spotless. Great to have a swimming pool too. Nespresso machine appreciated. House keeping staff was nice. Room well insulated. Windows are sound proof.
