Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomDon't be fooled by the IBIS brand name. This is a very budgeted hotel and expect to receive very basic service. The location was OK, but don't expect to have a view of the Eiffel tower or Paris skyline. Instead you get a lovely view of a dual carriageway with plenty of cars 😅 The reception was efficient and quick, but don't expect to see a concierge at the desk 24 hours a day. There was no USB ports in the room and being from the UK you would expect a better experience..I had to instead but a USB converter plug from the local hardware shop which added to the expense. You would seriously expect a well known hotel brand to install these, being that everyone relies on them for charging appliances The bedding was very basic and the bed was ok but the pillows have seen better days. It felt like sleeping on a thin sheet of foam which made my neck ache. The shower room was basic and was akin to a small box and had a broken shower unit, so you had to hand hold the shower otherwise the spray from the water would leak under the door and cause a small puddle of water outside the unit. The towels were like drying yourself with cardboard and were not sufficient in drying yourself properly. The breakfast room downstairs was overrun with students so skipped it and bought a baguette 🥖 instead from the nearby bakery which served it's purpose. Those on a low budget will be welcome here, but personally would not stay here again. 👎🏽
The price was fair. It has disabled access and was warm inside the room, but not much else to comment on the positives.

GreeceThe sink, the toilet and the shower are separate places in the room, with the toilet and the shower being next to each other within a plastic cabin (similar to how it is in a cabin in a boat). This is good in the aspect that you can use one while the someone else uses the other and it's not so good in terms of privacy. Only one towel for each person. Body wash in the shower. No hand-soap by the sink. There was dust gathered on various appliances and corners, so I wouldn't rate the cleanliness very well. The location around the hotel is a bit sketchy, with people living in their cars next to it, but didn't feel dangerous generally.
A very basic hotel that meets all the basic requirement for a low (for Paris) price. It definitely isn't perfect, but it's value for money is very good. The location is a 6 minute walk from the central metro line 1 so you can be in the city center within 30 minutes using only one mode of transport.

United KingdomIt was a bit uncomfortable. The sink was next to the bed the toilet was a really really small individual room and the shower was again an individual room. It looks like a plane. If you wanted to go to the toilet and then wash your hands you need to walks around every space of the room. Another issue is that the area is not really safe. Homeless people living next to the hotel and overall the area is unsafe with weird people and dirty.
The room was super clean with nice smelling blessings and clean floor. The metro and bus stops where near and the access to the city centre was easy. The staff was really friendly and helpful and we had a 24/7 reception.

United KingdomWC was divided in 3 sections, shower room and WC 2 individual compartiments but the sink was in the room which make it a bit weird. Room was a bit noisy because of the lift.
The hotel was close to the tube station. Also a 20 minute walk to the Paris Zoo.

PolandI was traveling with my mom and on the 3rd night of the 4 she was bit by bedbugs. After this happened I decided to look for reviews with same problem for this hotel and I found them! Hotel keeps responding to such issues that no bedbugs were found, but the truth is they may hide anywhere (behind the baseboards for example, where they simply won't be found, unless someone disassembles the whole room), the rooms should be treated for bedbugs, that would be the only valid solution. The hotel and rooms are clean, but as in any tourist destination, a lot of people come through and someone might have brought it, so this treatment should occur periodically
Everything in the hotel met my expectations for the price except from one thing

United KingdomRoom Size, Basin outside the Bathroom, Not value for Money
The Room Size is very small. The Basin was outside the bathroom next to the bed. The concept was to make the room budget friendly with basic amenities but the tariff that was paid was higher and if it would have been less then we would have felt value for money. Has all the bare minimum basic amenities

LuxembourgI dont understand why I only got 1 towel, not 2. There was no soap at the washbasin, only in the shower.
The design of the hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel had little fountain for filling the bottles with potable water at the reception.

GermanyThe rooms look like a mix of Norwegian prison with a motor home. I mean, it is a budget hotel, but I didn't guess it was THAT much of budget hotel.
Service was good and the staff is helpful and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was also fairly priced, though it lacked options.

PortugalThe room had an odd architecture... The sink was separate from the toilet and shower. So to wash your hands after going to the toilet you needed to go grab some soap to the shower and then head over to the sink on the opposite side. Anyway, nothing major, just thought it was a bit weird.
The quality/price ratio is very good. It's not a fancy hotel but the location is wonderful, just a couple minutes from the metro and the rooms are clean overall, so it does a perfect job for a long weekend in Paris. Very nice breakfast as well!
