Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWhat we did not like (not critical, still you might want to keep in mind). We were there in August, it was relative hot during the day and fresh in the night, but we could not open the window, as there was a street in front of the hotel, where motorbikes and other loud vehicles were driving by. With closed window it was not an issue (you barely hear nothing), but to open the window - it was not possible during the night. And as the rooms are rather small, to be there without fresh air might be a bit difficult. We woke-up and had to open the window for some time, to get a bit of fresh air into the room. The neighboring area is ok-ish, not pretty, still... on the walk to the center you might walk through interesting communities of people. It is not critical, still, to keep in mind.
In general, the stay was fine. For the price it was all ok. What we liked: staff was very polite. The registration / check-in and all other questions was rather a pleasant experience. The breakfast was nice (for the price). Staff was very busy during the breakfast (as the hotel is relatively big and the breakfast area is moderate from the size perspective), tables are small, but ok. The bed was ok, the bathroom was clean. Parking in the basement was also fine - no issues there. There is a grocery store not far away - nice addition if needed. The hotel is located in walking distance to the city center.

United KingdomStop off for the night on our way home from southern France. All new, modern hotel with a welcoming, spacious leisure area on the ground floor. All new fixtures and fittings, very clean. Super helpful reception staff member helped us to order a takeout pizza to eat at the hotel as it was too late to drag the kids out to find a restaurant. Super easy parking at the hotel.

GermanyThe breakfast area was overcrowded and clearly understaffed. At times, there weren’t even enough plates, knives, or cups available.
The hotel is modern and makes a very good impression. The lobby is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the car can be parked securely. It’s perfect for a one-night stay while traveling to Brittany, with a wide variety of dining options nearby.

FinlandThere's no kitchen in the hotel, so finding and fetchin food around the block after a travel is a bit tiring. Luckily uber-eats works!
The room was spacious and clean. We had a nice, quiet stay. Parking was cheap and underground, so it felt more safe and our car stayed cool 😁

AustraliaTowels were rather cheap. I think that because Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget are in the same building, towels in Styles are of the Budget standard. No chair or any seat in the room, despite the fact that there was a small table and room is big enough to accommodate a chair.
Good breakfast, but somehow not well organized. We had to ask for plates and other items, as they were not replaced quickly enough. Comfortable bed.

NetherlandsHotel was fully booked and staff struggled during breakfast. Two hotel formulas under one roof: Budget and Styles. Apart from the ground floor level, the room felt as a budget room.
Pets allowed (EUR 10/n) secured parking (EUR 8/n), busstop in a few hundred meters directly into Rouen City Center (weekends free of charge).

NetherlandsBedboard (vertical part of bedframe extending above pillows) was dirty (hate to even think what it was). We tried to clean w toilet paper, but not successful. We asked reception for extra cleaning -- but he said that the room was clean! How very strange not to believe us!! We then asked for an extra towel to take care of it ourselves. Which I did with shower gel and hot water. Ugh. Location is very far from decent restaurants and far from town center.
Very quiet & spacious room. Sufficient parking. Good breakfast. Good value for money.

United KingdomCouldn't get the air con in our room to work. It looked as though it was turn off (it was October) and it was a hot night so it made sleeping uncomfortable.

PolandThe breakfast - mostly sweet things, we would prefer more savory options. The neighbourhood of the hotel is not very interesting but it's around 30 minutes walking distance from the historic centre of Rouen - so not too bad. It would be much better if rooms were equipped with a small fridge (we were traveling with our dog and needed to keep his pet food somewhere so we had to ask the staff at the reception - a little bit inconvenient.
Very cosy living room and breakfast room, friendly staff, the private parking - those are the things that we appreciated. We also liked the water fountains inviting the guests to fill their own bottles.

United KingdomSee above and please act on it as a first- time arrival could be dangerous as it is now.
Difficult to access by road. More signage needed for first time-comers on approach road signs and much better marking and entrance conspicuous: we passed it twice first time and entrance is very inconspicuous.
