An honesty bar would be good so you could have a glass of wine or aperitif rather than cans of beer. Access to a fridge for milk etc really disappointing the restaurant has gone but there are plenty of places to eat out nearby , it's just such a nice spot that it is nice to spend an evening on the terrace. It would be nice if the trees could be reduced the other side of terrace to improve the view. Not a lot could be done but we did have an ant invasion and with no fridge or storage it's difficult to gave any type of snack e.g crisps in the room which sometimes is all you want at lunchtime

The solitude of the hotel appealed plus good parking , nice staff and good pool. Most people go out all day which suited us ! Our bathroom and room 22 was super. Downside is there is no restaurant or bar although you can buy cans of beer so a lack of atmosphere in a way but you can't have everything. Breakfast was good quality & informal . Quiet & relaxing overall and staff responded to all requests with a smile.

Handle broke on door to balcony and we had to wait until the next day for it to be fixed.

We found that the wifi at most places we stayed at in Spain and France was spotty--this was no different. But maybe that was a good thing.

The location was about a ten minute walk from the center. The breakfast was fantastic and the views breathtaking.

A bar would have been good although you could buy beer and soft drinks at reception.

Great location and in a fabulous area. Having a pool to relax in was great. Room was well situated and very clean. Breakfast was also good with friendly staff. Nice not being in Collioure but 15 minute walk away

The breakfast was fine, but when something ran out (usually the fresh fruit salad, or the wholemeal bread), it did not seem to be replaced.

Good value for money, maybe due to it's situation outside the town. A 15 or 20 minute walk, but along a very scenic route. Nearest shingle beach only 5 minutes away. Lovely view over the inlet from the balcony. Clean and spacious room and bathroom (separate WC). Tea and coffee making facilities in room are a plus.

The hotel doesn't provide restaurant anymore, the breakfast could have been better, the jacuzzi will cost you extra fees, the hotel feels like minimum investment to come or possibly none like if it will be for sale soon... Looks like it has had a flourish life but before...

The bed was very small in fact only a double. You never know when hotels say large doubles, sometimes it is a queen and sometimes a king so we were caught out on this occasion. The bed was also quite hard. We went to main reception to ask for a glass of ice and she said no which seemed quite strange. The room is advertised with terrace but you can't see over the balcony so we didn't use it. Rooms are quite small.

The breakfast room waitress was extremely helpful and friendly.

Our room overlooked the pool and had potential to see the ocean. There was a large tree blocking the view of the ocean from our balcony. It appeared to be dead or partially dead. People come for the view of the ocean. Wish it hadn’t been there.

The room was spacious and clean. The walk into Collioure was only about 10-15 min. We were late to breakfast, but the young lady was kind enough to allow us to grab a coffee, fruit and croissants to take to the poolside to eat. ☕️ 🥐 🍎

When sitting o the terrace the design of the balcony made it hard to see the sea, if it had been lower or made of glass then it would have been perfect.

The bed was wonderful, big and comfy, the bathroom was nice.

It is a bit dated and sideways onto to the sea, which impairs the view from the rooms. It is a 15 minute walk into Collioure, slightly longer coming back uphill.

A quirky layout as built into a hillside, with a small reception up top, rooms below and restaurant and pool at the bottom. Reasonably sized room, very clean and good sized balcony. Excellent pool. Ample and easy to use free parking. Quiet location.

A little more assistance with taxis & knowledge of the area. It was more of a language thing, since our French is poor.

This is our second time staying at L'Arapede, as we had enjoyed the large rooms, decks and views when we had visited 17 years ago. It's a bit of a walk to Collioure, but we like the gorgeous walk. It's also near Port Vendres, which is worth visiting. The pool area & grounds are very nice also. We've only stayed here in October when the restaurant has been closed, so we don't know how good that may be.

The hotel had let us know that the restaurant had closed for the season. This was not a problem but it meant the terrace with tables and chairs (and view) was a bit desolate. The reduced rate for being out of season was not that beneficial if you took into account the 12 euro per person cost of the breakfast. This was adequate but unimaginative and minimal. If the room had a mini fridge it would have changed things a lot. For a start we could have bought some white wine and olives for an aperitive in the evening (the hotel is a good 25 mins walk from the town) and maybe some light things for breakfast. The pillows were lumpy and the ventialtion in the loo and bathroom was poor. But it still was a decent experience. If they sort these things out it would be really good.

The situation was good ,although not 'the view' of Collioure it was quite pleasant. Convenient to park and quiet. But we were just out of season and I think these advantages would be more appreciated when the town is busier.
