I made the mistake of visiting a popular holiday resort during school vacation so failed to avoid overcrowding and congestion. But the good quality of the hotel was adequate compensation and not affected by those hindrances.

Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Clear efforts to respect ecological welfare. Restaurant thoroughyl deserves its reputation for excellence - service and cuisine both outstanding.

In terms of hotel accommodation, things were a little tired and need some attention (for example, missing wall tiles in the stair well, broken shower fitting and scratched paint on the wardrobe doors). It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room or a coffee machine that could provide boiling water. (In fact, I couldn't find any instructions for the coffee machine at all.) The first night was very quiet and we slept soundly. Unfortunately, the second night, there were people next door and we could hear every word they were saying through the wall. The breakfast was generous but too heavy on carbs and no fresh fruit other than juices. The wifi was very intermittent.

The staff were incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. The room was adequate for a 3-star rating and the bed was large and very comfortable. The service in the restaurant was thoughtful and attentive and the meals were served quickly, were beautifully presented and delicious. We were given bottles of water for our last day and offered free use of the hotel rest areas as we required until the time of our evening train.

Bathroom was not super clean, and the owner had a loud screaming fight with his staff in the middle of the street. Unacceptable.

Fantastic value for money at this friendly hotel. The room was warm and comfortable, the coffee machine was a bonus. The staff were welcoming and helpful and kind enough to lend us a phone charger as we had forgotten ours.

Bathroom would be much improved with a thermostatic shower mixer - both for space and comfort. A nice coffee machine in the room - but only tiny coffee glasses. We travel with tea bags, but a thimble of tea is not an option.

The breakfast for 14.90 Euro was lacklustre. The elevator and lighting in the hallways were lacking . It was a blackout from my room down the hall to find a small wall switch which allowed enough light to find the elevator.

Excellent location in the centre of town. Quaint hotel with interesting features and a good atmosphere. Front desk person very fluent in English and helpful. The room given to us was small but with a good view.

Sometimes the left luggage was left unlocked, close to front door. Only 2 pods of decaffeinated coffee in room.

Location excellent 10 minute walk from station and right by beach/town. Staff very accommodating, great to have facility leaving bags. Staff topped up water bottles at bar for free with tap water.
