Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomA previous reviewer commented that if you are looking for a modern city hotel this is not for you, however if you seek French farmhouse style accommodation within a short distance of Carcassonne and all its history- then this is for you, as it was for us. Excellent and generous breakfast with a lot of homemade produce. Evening meal available, with notice, at €30. Very agreeable and personable hostess. Wi-Fi is as advertised only available in lounge area, we found connection quite slow and weak, whilst not a problem for us, unusual in this day and age. Need good Sat nav to find, (as ours fortunately did) as red direction signs stop before property - 2 more needed. The garden room was lovely and cool in hot weather.

AustraliaLocation was a little tricky to find at first. The WIFI was not sufficient for our needs as we had to address a monetary issue. Our room was not one of the best on the site yet we booked a long way in advance.
Lovely pool, and excellent location for Carcasson, good breakfast and friendly staff.

Delphine was so helpful and friendly! Our bed was beautifully comfortable and that is one thing that we struggle with when we go away …..so we were really pleased! The farmhouse was rustic, very French and charming. Breakfast was really tasty and Delphine makes all the cakes herself which are gorgeous! The weather was really warm and we decided on two occasions to relax around the swimming pool which was an added bonus! The house had been recommended to us by friends so we knew that it was a half hour walk in to town through the vineyards so were prepared for that and took sensible shoes to walk in. It was beautiful to walk home along the country lane after some lovely French cheese and wine in town, looking at the stars as there is no light pollution there! Altogether a fantastic few days and we have arrived home refreshed and ready for another few busy months at work running our cottages. Hospitality isn’t an easy job…..but Delphine does it very well. Thank you for a lovely time…. We hope to come back one day.

United KingdomIt is impossible to find fault with the property or owner. For me personally the walk to the City whilst easy and straight forward is slightly long but that is the fault of this guest not the B&B, distances are also stated on the bookings site - this would not stop me going back
This is an exceptionally well run B&B in an amazing rustic farmhouse with a maze of spacious rooms on multiple levels The breakfast is all homemade, by Delphine, with a large range of savoury and sweet items and can be taken indoors or outdoors The jewel of the property is the large outdoor swimming pool with plenty of chairs and sunbeds where you can relax and take in the views Delphine is an excellent host and on occasion will cook a superb evening meal with produce fresh from the market and garden

United KingdomWe had a fantastic stay at La Maison sur la Colline, we loved the personal touches. We were allowed access to a kitchen area to have use of the fridge if we needed to store anything. The breakfast was amazing with all home cooked food each day. We were offered a lift to and from the airport which was very handy. The cat and dog that really made our stay, they were so friendly, they were often around the pool areas when we returned late afternoon for a dip. If you want a chain hotel with everything pristine this isn't for you, but if you prefer a rustic French house surrounded by vineyards with home cooked food then it's perfect. It's a 20 minute walk along a lane through the vineyards to Carcassonne, which was a lovely walk.

Such a fabulous, beautiful place and with the best ever hostess. Gorgeous old world charm with a tranquil pool area and delicious breakfast - don’t miss the chance to have dinner here too - give Delphine notice and she will cook you the most memorable meal - local speciality dishes accompanied by local wines - just wonderful!!! Great location - just a 20min straight walk along a very quiet road through the vineyards and you reach the old town city walls - inside (and outside) are many lovely bars and restaurants.

United KingdomIt was not an issue for us but La Colline has a number of narrow stairways and windy turns so any disability would be an issue.
Situated just 27mins country walk (excellent as three hours tourist parking is 9 euros) from the old city of Carcassone in a quiet countryside setting this is a little gem run by the delightful Delphine. Have no hesitation in booking the evening meals as Delphine is an excellent cook and you will not go hungry and there is a aperitif and carafe of wine included. The swimming pool (quite deep) was being refurbished when we were there but should be finished soon. We had two labradors and had the "Garden Room". There was a comfortable double and another single bed in a side room although this had to be walked through to get to the bathroom. This had direct access to the outside down metal steps (think short fire escape) to the outside and was great for the dogs. Breakfast is good and presents a varied selection of goodies. Get there early if you want the hot items! There is ample parking on site.

GermanyBest „ bed and breakfast“ we ever had! We can recommend „ la Maison sur la Colline“. It is a beautiful and spacious house with view to Carcassonne, but situated in fully bright nature. It is calm and the beds are comfortable. The interior of the house has a warm familiar atmosphere and Delphine is a great host. We spent 3 days there and appreciated the fantastic breakfasts, created and prepared by Delphine with homemade products. We didn`t miss anything and enjoyed every day. Great thanks to Delphine. JapanNo air conditioning - the room stayed relatively cool but might make it difficult to sleep in very hot summer weather.
Charming B&B about a 20 min walk through the vineyards from the medieval citadel. Delicious breakfast included with a wide range of sweet and savoury options. Lovely little pool to relax by in the hot weather.. Delphine went out of her way to help including giving me a lift to and from the train station. Thanks!
