Accessibility might be an issue for some- up very steep and narrow stairs and no lift Mini fridge in the room would have been nice

It’s an old building, so bear in mind there are steep steps. Not a problem for us, but mindful of others who are not as mobile. Our young kids were fine with the stairs, holding onto the provide handrails throughout.

Location is excellent. Set in the heart of La Rochelle, our port facing room providing a fantastic view of our one day visit (whilst passing through to Île de Ré). We had a fantastic time in La Rochelle, and the central location of the hotel made it all the more convenient to experience the night time buzz of the port and harbour area.

Never having been here before, finding the hotel was not easy as there were no directions from the bus station. But that is a minor quibble.

The hotel is very well located right on the harbour and our room had great views over the waterfront. It was very hot in the town, but fortunately the room had aircon. The breakfast brought to our room was very good. Would definitely stay again. Numerous cafes adjacent

The courtyard view - open to interpretation... The stairs weren't an issue for us but there are lots of stairs.

Too many stairs altogether although staff were very helpful in carrying our bag. The view from our window was into a derelict property and unkempt light well, we kept the curtain pulled across to avoid looking at it.

We stayed in a family room port side. The room exceeded our expectations. Really spacious with a lovely view over the marina. The location is spot on. Good value for money. Just keep in mind it is a bit of a walk from the public carparks

The only downside to such a lovely view is the noise from street performers with huge speakers and microphones trying to attract people into their circle of viewers.

The room was lovely and spacious with it's own bathroom (not shared as it kind of indicates in the listing).

The stairs were a challenge - but we were warned about them and you only have to carry your bags twice; check in and check out. The accommodation, location and views make up for it!

Ideal central location to everything! No there isn’t parking and yes, there are stairs - but we were told about this in a very detailed welcome email. Lots of car parks a few minutes walk away were recommended and we paid €30 for 3 days. There was someone at reception who helped with our bags to our room and when we checked out. We were told about lots of places to eat and they were amazing! The room overlooked the harbour, was clean and very spacious - and the view! We had triple glazing and were warned it may be loud if we opened them - we did sometimes to hear the hustle and bustle from the streets. Air con was great. Both breakfasts were delicious and big! It was a great stay and we will definitely be back!

Amazing location right on the front of the old port looking out to sea. Staff are exceptionally helpful. Room was clean and cool.

It said there was parking, however recommended car park by port, although not underground, had really narrow spaces. Returning to pick up our beautifully parked car, someone had scrapped along the side!!

I should have asked for a room if available on the reception floor

the Location is perfect for me. I like the view of the port. The closeness of shops, restaurants and sea. The friendliness of staff and the recommendations I received. The a/c was very good for me. It was there but not on top of my head or bed.

I found the stairs in the hotel a challenge at first but treated them as my daily exercise routine after a day or two !

I loved the location with brilliant views of all the historical buildings in La Rochelle
