Hotel des Artistes is in a perfect location for exploring the town but away from the noise. The hotel is accessible by slope or steps and you are welcomed by a real receptionist. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke some English. The rooms were a reasonable size and equipped with hanging space, suitcase support, tv, bedside tables. Everything was clean and in good condition. The bed was very comfortable - I slept amazingly well. The temperature was perfect - not too hot or cold.

United KingdomThe only suggestion I would make (for British guests anyway)would be to mention that tea and coffee facilities were supplied in the room and to make the offer of a small jug of fresh milk on check in.
A great location within easy walking distance of restaurants and minutes from the ferry port , perfect for the night before an early ferry. We have stayed here many times over the years and it has always remained a smart, clean, well run small hotel. We had a kettle in the room with tea and coffee but no milk. I am sure they would happily have supplied milk if asked as a request for ice cubes later was quickly supplied. All soaps and gels were provided together with a hairdryer. Great parking very close. Easy to pay using card. Free after 7pm and before 9am.
