Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very slow service at dinner. Had to ask for a glass of wine, did not arrive so went to collect from bar. Waitresses not experienced and slow. More interested in previous guests who had stayed. The dinner was not very good and not up to normal standards of a Novotel hotel. The best we have stayed in is at Brugge where we have stayed many times.
Room was very good. Excellent location, very quiet. Directions to property were excellent.

We stayed in for dinner one evening which was poor. The pasta was cold in the middle and the duo green summer salad was tasteless and unpleasant.
A beautiful location next to the park with only a 10 minute walk to the Vieux Port. Very well run hotel with friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and very relaxed.

Nothing
Private car parking with EV chargers. Very good location for people with dogs as there so many walks through parks right next to the hotel. The staff have very good English and you can have a small €5 breakfast if you do not want the full monte. Not too far of a walk to the old port

The only negative thing we experienced was actually finding the hotel from the Sat Nav location as it couldn’t be accessed by car from the main road - we eventually had to ask at another hotel close by
The hotel was nicely located in a quiet park area close to the bus&train station Within easy walk of the old town & busy port area Staff were friendly & welcoming - facilities & food offered for breakfast & evening meals was very good

The mattress on the double bed was very uncomfortable and so was the sofa bed mattresses for the children.

Bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable. Pool is small and not enough sun loungers for number of guests

We had no realistic criticisms
One late lunch at the harbourside proved to be very slow indeed, so we were glad to dine in the hotel each night. The rotating programme of barbecues suited us!

Very central and great to have the pool. The food and service in the restaurant was good. The room was ok, a bit dull but the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The staff were nice.

- Our room was fine but the bathroom was right next to the bed, with the toilet a separate room altogether. I wasn’t keen on this. - The long flush on the toilet was broken. You could get a long flush on the short one by pressing and holding but I didn’t discover this until we were about to leave - The bedside ‘tables’ are tiny and a bit useless
- Breakfast was incredible, really good, so much variety and plenty of it. - The hotel is located in the middle of a lovely green space and within walking distance of the beautiful town - Plenty of parking spaces - Good air conditioning - The staff are all lovely - There’s a really great swimming pool with seating around it

Room was a bit dated. Coffee was a bit bland.
Super location - so central. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast (we loved the cheese, bread and scrambled eggs the most). Restaurant dinner & drinks selections were also very good!

Rooms are small especially as a family.
Great hotel. This was our second time staying there. Lovely location. We love the pool and the location. Staff are super friendly. Great breakfast. We’ve eaten there several times and food was good too.

Some parts of the bowl were a bit shabby.
The staff were extremely polite and helpful . The rooms were very well equipped. The breakfast was excellent with very good choice and quality.

Room was not cleaned or towels changed during our stay, not to the standard of a big Accor hotel Swimming pool is very small, taken over by kids.
