Breakfast was generous , a great variety of healthy fresh choices and delicious pastries too. A beautiful setting as well. Dinner in the restaurant was terrific and the heated pool in the garden so relaxing.

The restaurant being closed on one night as we had a fabulous meal there the next night and would like to have experienced it again.

It's difficult to enjoy the amenities at this hotel. La Sommellerie prohibits picnics and personal bottles of wine on the garden terrace, because they operate a bar during select hours in the afternoon and early evening (except Sundays). There are no common areas on the ground floor. The pool has restricted hours. If you spend your days out enjoying the beautiful surroundings in Chateauneuf-du-pape, you may find that the hotel is effectively closed when you return. The restaurant does not operate on Sunday/Monday, and since you can't enjoy a picnic outside, the only option is to supply your own food & drink in your room. Also, there was no mini-fridge supplied.

The hotel has beautiful amenities, so it's a real shame they can't be used in the evening. This hotel has so much potential. I hope with a few policy changes this could be a top destination in Chateauneuf-du-pape.

The hotel is right by the road, which is no issue from a noise level but makes for a bit of stress coming and going as drivers go very fast on that stretch of road.

Beautiful courtyard where they serve breakfast, and great hospitality by the staff. And the proximity to the village center (by car) and to Avignon makes for a great location.

There was virtually no cell service on the property, although I had international roaming, and the wifi was spotty, requiring frequent reconnects, which at times were laborious.

The property is gorgeous and full of rich history. The accommodations were quite comfortable. The hosts could not have been more gracious and accommodating. Breakfast and the one dinner we had there were quite good.

We were looking for a ol as out of town and found it here. There is a great bike path on the banks of River Rhône to Châteauneuf-du-Pape which is fun to ride. And there are backstreets through the vineyards back to the hotel - most beautiful. Make sure you dine at the hotel at night. Great food and a nice selection of good wines.

Nice location and facilities for visiting different wineries. I will recommend some soft pillows. I woke up with a “stone neck”. The restaurant has a good food and a nice selection of wines.

The location was beautiful and relaxing. a bit outside of town but still very convenient for wine tasting and touring. Parking on site was great. Breakfast was very good.
