Restaurant expensive compared to other choices in the village - so check these out first but the cooking was superb. Interesting choice on menu. Breakfast was fantastic buffet style - eggs - meat - cheese - fruit - yogurt pastries etc

The hotel is in a small village and my room overlooked the valley towards the Rhone river. Very quiet and relaxing. The restaurant was very good in an outdoor setting. In the morning I was able to walk to the pottery museum; very convenient.

The property is utterly charming and set in a darling, quiet village. Our room was small but more than adequate and cozy and clean. The toiletries are very nice. The bed comfy. The Irish woman who served us breakfast is delightful.

Restaurant closed on Mondays, which, during peak season really is not such a great idea as the other 2 fill up very quickly and you NEED to book. Wifi difficult/impossible to get.

Quiet, picturesque location in a beautiful little village. Charming and full of character.

Traditional French Hotel tucked away in a quiet hillside village. First impressions were excellent. The room (10) was spacious and comfortable with a sunny balcony and distant views down the Rhone and across the valley. The distant cooling towers of the power station are a surprise but no fault of the hotel. The disappointing aspect was the absence of any real sense of hospitality. This is where I felt the hotel was lacking. Normally in a rural hotel it is understood people have travelled long distance to arrive and in good hotels their needs are met with a welcome and relaxation. Not so here. Instead we were met with hassle and demands about parking arrangements. Add to this a poor customer focus and inadequately trained staff, makes for a business and profit led hotel. It's a shame because I really wanted to like it but the ambience seriously lets it down. To stay overnight with dinner and breakfast was around €300 and it is reasonable to expect service commensurate with that value. We had stayed in a gorgeous place in Le Crozet the night before and Maison Dauphin outshone this place in every respect.
