Honesty not much to complain about, food is pricer up the mountain and the little train that goes up to it is 8e one way, so stock up on food in the village and buy a week long pass for the train to save money if your going into town or using a bike to get down.

Compared to our last visit several years ago the bar was crowded, noisy and young children ran around with little supervision. Personally, we didn’t like the ‘entertainment’ as it wasn’t of a particularly high standard and was very loud. No chance of relaxing in the bar all week.

The location of the hotel for skiers is excellent. The rooms were very clean and warm and the bed was very comfortable. The choice of food from the buffet was good but did become a bit repetitative.

Rooms are very small for the price (standard and premium) and not that special. Dropping of bags is a real pain as you can't drive to the hotel (you need a shuttle to get you in). WiFi is very mixed, but it's free so you can't really complain I guess. Like a lot of accommodate in Arc 1800 all the floors are on a slope! Be careful after a long days skiing or a long stay in the bar!!

Best location in Arc 1800, right in the centre of everything with great access to the slopes. Bar is great, lively every night we were there with excellent bar staff. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, but it was terrific with great choice and terrific coffee!! Complimentary drink and cake at the end of the day was a lovely treat.

I was travelling with my daughter, 13 1/5 years old and wanted to treat her to a sauna, steam, and a massage but she was too young to be allowed to use the spa area in the afternoons/evenings. She did not want to use it in the mornings as it would have taken up valuable ski time (the snow is best in the morning in the Spring) so she could not use the spa area at all: really annoying. Also, the rooms' furniture is a bit tired in terms of style, and the hairdryer is diabolical: cuts out all the time and is poor quality. Spa costs 15 euros each time, per person.

Kind and attentive staff; Modern furniture in public spaces and a real fire in the lounge and bar area; Spacious communal areas; Spa area was lovely (pool, though small; hot tub; steam room; sauna; relaxation room; Excellent breakfast buffet; good value for money; Great live band for the first three days, tops. Hotel navette laid on on our last day to take us to the funicular navette: really helpful. Every afternoon, free welcome back hot chocolate or hot rhum apple juice and cake: a nice touch.

We booked all inclusive but was not all inclusive! didn't tell us till the end of the holiday that drinks (soft drinks, tea, coffee) were not included - had to pay a further £100 + for these. Vouchers that were given to us for lunches at other places were very very hard to find, in fact we only found 1 out of 6. We asked reception where we could find one for dinner, they directed us to a restaurant that only included lunch! Felt very cross having to pay for this meal.

Children are only able to use the pool in the morning. You also have to book in advance. When we stayed at the hotel it was full and we were unable to use the pool as it was fully booked. We stayed on B&B basis thinking if we didn't want to go out for diner one night we would be able to use the hotel restaurant. However, priority in the main restaurant is given to guests staying on a half board basis and we were not able eat in this restaurant at all. We were, however, able to book the fondue restaurant one night.

The bar area is very welcoming with a lovely central roaring fire. Despite the fact the hotel was full we had no problem getting a seat. Skiing is very easy - you can get your skis from the shop in the hotel and store them in the hotel locker room. The slopes are just outside the back door of the hotel.
