Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It’s a basic older place but the room they gave us was a family room with a lot of space.
Location was good. The staff was helpful and it offered some food and drinks at their location.

Bedroom is too small for three people. The toilet with no ventilation, is sapareted from the shower and the sink and this cause bad smell in the place.

We couldn’t roll the little window shade all the way down, but it was not a big problem so we didn’t bother asking the hotel staff to fix it. Should be a quick and easy fix.
Great location. Very walkable to everything you need to see in Bayeux: Tapestry museum, cathedral, meeting point for D-Day tour, nice restaurants, and town center. The hotel isn't very modern; it's more of a locally styled place with a homey feel. The room isn’t very spacious, but comfy for two person with two medium size luggage for two nights. The room is clean. The breakfast is nice. The lady at the reception give us a map and explain us how to get to the attractions, and recommend us restaurants which is very nice. She also offer to help us carry our luggage up the stairs as well which is very kind. The hotel has no elevator. There is a parking space at the hotel but it is quite limited. Better contact the hotel to book the space early. There is also a free parking lot opposite the hotel and along the street nearby, also paid parking space not far away.

It was unseasonably warm when we were there (90s) and the AC was not what we are used to, but it was comfortable enough for sleeping.
Staff was incredibly nice. English was not a problem. Let us store our luggage for hours while we went sightseeing. Helpful with finding local tours, schedules, etc. service was at a premium to the entire staff.

The fact there were no coffee making facilities in the rooms and the shower was only tepid. You could get coffee in breakfast area but would have been nice to have it in room. Only a minor thing.

Bit expensive for what it is
Friendly staff, secure parking for our motorbikes, decent breakfast and great location for town centre amenities. Great base to do D day beaches from.

This was a quaint hotel in a perfect location. The breakfast was okay, similar to the quick breakfast at a Comfort Inn. The front desk staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

The mattress had a raised middle which made sleeping difficult . They also need new pillows. The pillows were flat and lumpy. The bathroom is decent size and recently refreshed but the shower head very high for a short person. The size was very small. A large 250 lb man would find it difficult to fit in shower.
The receptionists were extremely helpful . They effortlessly carried out large 50 lb suitcases up the steep, winding staircase . Always wished us a good day. Were quick to adjust room temp from base near feception so could turn on heat ( hit a cold spell)

There was nothing to dislike
We were upgraded to a sister hotel Belle Normandy which turned out to be a converted old school. It was superb. As ever the owner and staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Wonderful.
