Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This was our second time staying at the château, five years apart, and it was just as special as we remembered. The place is amazing — family-run with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, yet set in such grand surroundings. Our room was incredible, and the whole experience felt unique. Well worth the stay!

Wow - what a place. Lovely friendly hosts, that could not have been more kind and helpful. The dinner they cooked was sublime, and we loved sitting with all the other guests outside on the terrace in this stunning place. We'll be back!

A stunning chateau with olde world charm and large bedroom with huge windows overlooking the parkland. Continental breakfast was good quality, locally sourced where possible and extensive, served by a very attentive, friendly and convivial host.

Firstly this property certainly gives impact. It’s very dog friendly. The setting is calm, large gardens surround the property. It’s in the middle of France so a perfect stop over if travelling South or North. The hosts Colas and Vannack could not be more friendly, polite and helpful. Sande makes sure your breakfast is perfect. She’s also amazingly helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

United KingdomBathroom was a little dated but more than adequate for what we needed.
Such a unique hidden gem! Stayed here for one night on our road trip through France. Arrived to a friendly welcome late afternoon on a hot day, instantly felt at home and headed to the pool for a pre-dinner swim. Had a lovely homemade meal together with the other hotel guests on the terrace, which adults and kids all enjoyed. All the kids made friends quickly at dinner at and ran off to enjoy the little playground after dinner, leaving the adults to a glass of wine as the sun set. Beautiful chateau, with the feel of staying in a family home rather than a formal hotel. Room was comfortable, clean and large. It's more rustic charm than luxury hotel. Breakfast was simple and delicious. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike.
Château Le Boisrenault is very special. It is like staying with friends you never knew you had, in an historical gem, locked in time, but adapted to modern travellers. The host, Colas, is part of the fabric of the house and is so welcoming and kind. The rooms are all huge and beautifully individual, not a corporate feature in sight. Guests stay in an antique with its complimenting artifacts and furnishings. There is a lovely swimming pool, table tennis, volleyball equipment as well as indoor games.a curious billiards table and a fascinating old library. Colas and his colleagues offer, optional, dinner, for a reasonable price, served around a communal table, prompting pleasant interaction with other guests. Staying at Château Le Boisrenault, will definitely be a fond memory of our journey to the South of France.

United KingdomBreakfast could have had more of a choice for kids, however for me it was the usual continental breakfast with pasties/bread/cereals and fruit.
Fantastic location with large grounds. Open door policy for the first time for me but it worked well, no keys or card to carry around. The owner and Staff really made you welcome and would accommodate any request we had. Granddaughter loved the outdoor swimming pool (even though it was freezing when you first got in) lovely old Château with plenty of history.

United KingdomMy only small criticisms are that the wall paper in the bedroom was a little dated and damaged in places, but this was not a big issue. Secondly, the location is quite a way from the motorway so if you are travelling it takes a while to get going the following day..
