The scenery is amazing. Great location to explore Mont Saint Michel and Saint Malo.

Nothing to do with hotel but now we have seen Cancale we would probably prefer to base ourselves there. Also beaches in Le Vivier are separated from the land by "marais" so if tide out it is a bit of a hike to the sea.

Good location for touring. Very helpful receptionist - their restaurant was shut because of the season but she went out of her way to point us to several restaurants who would likely be open on a Monday night and give us their telephone numbers. Breakfast was good, tho' continental.

I book this particular hotel for location and just wanted to eat at the hotel. Been travelling a month just wanted to stay in. This should not distract from a pleasant stay.

The walls and ceilings aren’t very insulated, but thankfully, we didn’t have neighbors who stayed up late.

Though an older hotel, the Bretagne had a spotless room for us, and a renovated bathroom, which we appreciated. We ate a wonderful meal in the restaurant, too, although we didn’t have breakfast.

We didn’t use the Pananoramic restaurant in the evening, which loooked like a lovely place to eat. As the main hotel selling point it would have been nice to have had breakfast there. This was served in an alternative front bar style room. However, breakfast was ample and the kids enjoyed.

The rooms were ample size and clean. Bathroom was clean and everything was in good working order. Parking was available towards the rear/side of the hotel, with access from the side. Good stop over location for onward travel.

The space of their family rooms was fantastic. It was divided into two linked sections. The beds were very comfortable. Very clean. Nice table with tea/coffee etc available. Very useful for kids to play at. It was a night's stop over for us, as we were going to visit Mont Saint Michel. The views from the rooms were stunning. We left a jacket behind and the hotel were so kind to email us soon after our departure and we were able to collect it that afternoon. Definitely a value for money stay.

The plug in the bedroom basin leaked so we couldn't follow the recommendation not tp leave the tap running.

Rooms were comfortable; restaurant was well-staffed who looked after us attentively. The marsh surroundings were fascinating- wonderful to see hundreds of sheep turned out on them in the morning we left.

Bathroom could do with a refresh but it was perfectly adequate and clean. It was a shame that the restaurant was closed on the Wednesday when we stayed but we were warned.

Lovely position overlooking the sea. Receptionist was great - she changed our room so that we had a better view and it only cost a few euros more.

The building is extremely old and requires significant renovation. To be fair, it’s the very common disadvantage of most hotels in France. The most disturbing point was total lack of sound insulation! We arrived quite late the first day and our kids were creating some usual noise before going to bed, in 5 minutes the hotel staff knocked the door to tell that the neighbors were complaining about the noise. We are truly sorry to disturb the other people, but it’s the hotel that should ensure the comfort of everybody. We even refused to take shower and use hairdryer not to disturb the neighbors at night. Later in the total silence we could clearly hear the people in the surrounding rooms snore, use toilet etc… It’s a very important disadvantage in my opinion.

Nice location if you want to explore the area by visiting le Mont Saint Michel, Saint Malo and surroundings. The room was very clean and spacious enough, but it requires renovation. There is also a very convenient parking, but it’s too small and was always full every day when we arrived - apparently the restaurant visitors also used it.
