Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe pool, one of the reasons we chose the hotel, was unexpectedly closed. We enjoyed visiting the Abbey in the village, though.
The hotel site is very peaceful and the room was spacious and comfortable.

United Kingdomit`s easy to miss the turning as you need to go down the one way street in front of the Mairie. Hotel is signed from the river ferry and again once you`ve passed the Mairie. Regret only staying the one night, I`d recommend at least two
we were looking for somewhere relaxing to stopover on our way back to the channel tunnel and this was about half way. First time I`ve visited this part of Normandy and I feel I`ve been missing out. Lovely area and this pretty boutique hotel was the relaxing stay I`d hoped it would be, I only wish we had stayed a few days more. Really pretty location in the countryside but on the edge of a village

United KingdomThe room decor was OK but a bit tired. The shower was over a (whirlpool) bath, which meant climbing over the edge to use it. It also was not placed highly enough for my 6'5" husband to stand under it properly. The shower next to pool was much better for him!
The location and set up of this place is all done to ensure you get peace and quiet. the rooms are set into 'houses' with 3 rooms each, so no noisy corridors etc. The main reception building doubles as the breakfast room, you order what you want and they provide it, as well as lots of other options to choose from. It's set right in the heart of Jumieges village, easy walking to the restaurants and the abbey and a little further to the Seine. Our was spacious and had everything we needed.

NetherlandsIt was not easy to find somewhere to eat when arriving in the evening. Most places were close and those that weren't were already full, however we were pre-warned that we should book in advance. The beds are also very hard.
The location is perfect and the whole town is absolutely beautiful. The swimming pool and spa are really lovely to use.

United KingdomIt would be good if the pool could be available before 1000, perhaps by beginning the cleaning a little earlier, so as to allow for a swim before breakfast. It is now reasonable to expect Muesli at a buffet breakfast.
The room was very quiet, the breakfast was very good and excellently managed and served and the pool was an excellent temperature for swimming, despite a chill breeze.

United KingdomWe had 2 rooms, Fez and Paris , everything was lovely but to be picky we will mention what we think could improve the stay for others. Fez was very dark, the sofa in the room was very uncomfortable. the toilet doors were beautiful didn't close properly and had no lock inside but there was one on the outside which we found quite odd. the hairdryer heat setting was broken. There was no complimentary shower gel in the bathroom. Paris was beautiful, airy and light but the fan in the bathroom was clogged with muck and the cleaner was in the room after we had returned from breakfast which was around 10am and the room checkout wasn't until midday which was rude as we had paid for the room until 12. We would have liked to swim before breakfast but was advised the pool wasn't open until 10am but on the website they only mention opening times for the spa and bar so we missed out on the use of the facilities . The car park is up a small hill from the hotel and the path down is gravel which made it hard to pull the suitcase. That said we would definitely recommend the hotel and will probably return if we are in the area again.
Lovely hotel in quiet and peaceful surroundings. Set in a great location away from the road, so there is no traffic sound but you can access the little village on foot within a few minutes. Good size suites with comfortable beds . Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities with a choice of drinks including decaffeinated coffee. Bathrobes in the bathroom . Friendly receptionist who was very helpful . Plenty of parking spaces.

United KingdomI found the way that the breakfast was delivered to be clumsy and disappointing - we had to tell the manager the night before what we wanted to drink and also if we wanted bread and croissants - come the morning the children wanted orange juice instead apple and I wanted an extra pot of hot water for tea - the manager was very very frustrated that we now wanted something different to what we had ordered the night before. It can't be that difficult to bring hot water and orange juice.... can it - however it would not stop me going back to the hotel
Pool was amazing and being heated was a real added bonus - we couldn't get the children out of the pool, they loved it - spotlessly clean The location was beautiful, tucked away at the back of a beautiful village with a short pretty stroll to the village square and restaurants - the bedrooms were in pretty standalone buildings spread over two floors
