You have to bring your own towels, bed sheets, pillows and blankets. The apartment is really small, so you can only book a 4-person apartment for 2 adults, otherwise it will get really crowded.

40 euro's a week to rent a tv which should be included given the price of the apartment, it felt like Ryanair's business model and I make a point of avoiding them.

A typical french apartment, small, poor quality. It had the essentials, although a broken kitchen tap could not be used until halfway during the week when it was fixed. Could do with refurbishment.

Quite cramped and for a 6 person apartment there were no comfortable seats if the sofa was utilised as a bed. Balcony is too small to sit out on really and no chairs anyway. Basic sheets and blankets and beds quite uncomfortable. Parking a car in Val Claret is a nightmare, as the public parking is always full. Pre book parking if driving.

No ski boot drying facilities, but ski lockers are adjacent to the pistes access door. Very close to lifts. Relatively clean and well equipped kitchen. Location very nice. Val Claret is a wonderful base for a skiing holiday.

The Apartment was very small , No beds , 2 sofas with a single pull out matress on the floor , this is advertised as a 4 person sleep in reality only two people could sleep in this but would still not enyoy , wall heater hanging off wall , no towels and staff not in office at time advertised , wrong keys given to star with then two hours later supplied correct key . All in All this is the worst place I have ever stayed in.

Tired apartments, broken lifts, indifferent staff

Very small apartments for the alloted people, uncomfortably small. Not enough hanging / storage space considering we were skiing. No space in the kitchen to store food. Lifts often out of order. We were stuck in the lift for 20mins one evening and had to call emergency number, slow in responding. Staff not interested when reported. We assumed linen charge included towels, excessive to have an additional charge. Apartments in very poor state of repair and not that clean (e.g one of the beds had muddy footprints on the under sheet, was reported, nothing done). Although there are rules regarding no noise after 10pm, this was not enforced and when reported after the third evening the staff were indifferent.

Location was okay. Val Claret itself is very good Ski locker room good

Sorry - it was a tatty apartment (particularly for the price) and woefully ill-equipped - not enough glasses, plates, cups etc. Lots of the fittings were broken or bodged eg - the sliding door to the bedroom - broken; shower - slightly broken so that it ran down the walls etc. etc.

It was very convenient for the slopes.

Nothing is good at this hotel apart from the location.
    • Leisure trip

Big mistake. The worst studio apartment we have ever stayed in. Extremely dirty. Remains of pasta stuck inside the pans. Remains of the bolognaise stuck on the cutlery. Toilet smells of urin from all the previous male guests who missed the bowl and hit the floor. Small black hairs from previous guests are never removed but pushed to the corners of the bathroom by the swab (which stinks of rotten water). No room for luggage. During the day you place your bag on the bed. At night, you place it on the floor. You never unpack. You can buy wifi access which then works half of the time. The room is situated on the ground floor, next to all the hotel's ski lockers, and all hotel guests therefore walk past your door wearing ski boots in the morning and in the afternoon. You need to be very young and very drunk to stay here and not care. Our teenage kids are both young and sometimes drunk, and even they found the room disgusting. It is not even cheap. So our advice if you want to stay in Val Claret: Book well in advance. Look carefully for something of decent standard. And never choose Odalys Le Hameau du Borsat.

Nothing is good at this hotel apart from the location.

Drains smelt badly. No kettle supplied ! Had to pay extra for towel, TV, wifi, etc. Also no washing up liquid or dushwsjer tabs, which as I was only there for 4 days, I wasn't going to go and buy 24 tabs or a litre of liquid. I'm sure some would have been left by the last people. Maybe this could have been left ?

Reception was barely open, when we arrived there was a sign on the window which we had to call to get instructions on how to enter the apartment. They don't provide towels so be aware, there was no Wi-Fi, paid or free. The room stated it could sleep 4, in reality this apartment is small for 2 people. The so called bedroom had a bunk bed, which in fact was the room size, don't expect any space. The sofa bed was extremely hard, the pull out bed was ok, but having 4 people with luggage and ski gear was so cramped it became very uncomfortable. Understand the cost was budget but I don't think this should be marketed as a room for 4 people.

The location is very good, we used the InterSport located near one of the lifts and this was a 5 min walk or so. Room was clean.

Cheap and cheerful. Cleaned by previous occupants. Adequate space if kept tidy. Fully functional kitchen- no kettle or oven but coffee machine and good cooker/ hot plates. Bath and shower. Separate toilet. Seating for 4 (-6 at squeeze for drinks) at table. Relaxed policy. Right on the slopes. Definite ski in and out both to Bolin and from Tichot lift. Ski locker way too small- could fit maybe 1-2 sets of Skiis in. We left ours outside the room all week. No dramas! Felt safe and secure with combination key pads on main doors. Only 1 door key. Don't try and check in before the time it says! And no where to leave luggage if early. Given sheets to make beds and no duvet just blanket. But heaters were great. No problems with room temp. Great balcony. Good views. Ideal for cheap and cheerful.
