We stayed there twice before and regrettably this time it was like a ghost house. Noone at the reception during the "official" reception hours, and at checkout no polite asking about the stay, nothing. Just pay and go. Service and kindness of receiving guests has disappeared. Strange, this lovely house has lost its soul!! Too expensive for the value you get! We shall not be back one day. The restaurant in the same house is highly recommended however. It is separate from the manoir's owners.

    1) We had driven 800 miles and had two large suitcases in the back of the car, plus overnight bags. There was no available space to park our car and, if we hadn't waited in the restaurant lobby, for restaurant guests to leave, for one hour later that night we would have to park car on public thoroughfare. 2) The decor in the room was tired with paper peeling from the walls, dark heavy curtains at windows, light bulbs missing and lighting for reading totally inadequate. Only one bedside table but bed was big enough to put alarm clock/tablet on bed itself. Light not good enough to read. Note: this 'hotel' should be identified as 'rooms' on the first floor of a building with an independent Michelin rated restaurant whose patrons occupied all parking spaces until late end of dining.

The external view of the 'hotel' is pleasing and we looked forward to driving through into the secure parking area - however, no parking was available.

Wallpaper was peeling, the bed was uncomfortable, the light fitting was falling out of the wall, the phone was a mass of bare wires. Pleased to leave.

My room was directly over the restaurant on the ground floor so with the staff clearing up at the end of the night it was quite noisy up until 12.30 - 1.00 a.m

The "manoir" has retained its beautiful decor. Large rooms with high ceilings and lovely furnishings. Spoiled ourselves with a dinner in the Michelin starred restaurant. Easy walk to old town through beautiful park opposite the manoir.

The accommodation is very tired and needs a lot of work doing. The restaurant is eye wateringly expensive but the food is top notch. It's a shame they haven't given the rest of the building the same attention.

Good location with secure parking. It's so quiet we slept really well. Helpful staff.

The absence of staff, of other guests. The breakfast room as atrocious. No help with bags. Really, no infrastructure.

The faded grandeur. The one member of staff that we saw was willing and kind.
