Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaMattress was too soft, sleep interrupted because of it. Smoke detector inexplicably started showing green and red light in the middle of the night which woke us up. Window impossible to open and took numerous attempts to finally open.
Good location.

Czech RepublicThe toilet was extremelly smelly throughout the whole day and night while staying in the room. Me and my partner were also questionin the cleaness of the room and the bed, but the worst part was probably the toilet because it was impossible to stay inside for more than a minute and if you open the door the smell spreads throught the room. The room was also old looking and everything that other guests were doing outside was completely heard by us during the night.
The place is absolutely worth the money to stay right in the heart of St Mont-Saint Michel. It is super vibey and beautiful around and for the atmosphere the money is worth it. Considering the small sizes of the island the room size was really understandable and comfortable as well. For one night it is a really nice choice that will give you a lot of comfortobility.

United States of AmericaA fan would have been helpful as there is no air conditioning, and you cannot really leave the windows open at night due to mosquitoes, but overall it was a good experience. We needed better explanations on how to check in as there is construction and it was a little confusing finding out where we needed to go specifically to check in, but when we called they graciously got us where we needed to be. Would recommend that someone wait with anything you need to take to the room and someone else locate check in, and then come back to get everyone to take them straight to the room. Saves your legs a bit. :)
Super value to stay on the island. Staff is great, and breakfast was very good. Room was tiny, but bathroom was nice and shower was good sized for the small space. There is only so much that they can likely do given the space constraints on the island.

AustraliaWe arrived after sunset and could not find reception. The only sign that was lit up for Le Mouton Blanc was for a place that was clearly closed for the night. Had to ask a shopkeeper for directions. Reception is up a set of stairs perpendicular to the main street. The receptionist gave verbal instructions in English, to the annex building our room was located in. Once again, we wandered the main street in the gloom trying to find the location. Once again, we failed. Returning to reception, the receptionist walked us to the room. The building was not signposted nor purposefully lit. At reception, we were given an info sheet about the hotel and attractions. A map on that info sheet would have made things so much simpler. We had read reviews mentioning the difficulty locating reception and room, which are in different buildings. I suggest the hotel make maps with photos of the alleys and entrances to make things simpler for future travellers and themselves.
It was good to be on the island in the morning and to be able to explore it before the crowds came in the late morning. The included breakfast was excellent, with cold meats, warm eggs, a selection of cheeses, beautiful breads and delicious juices. The staff were friendly, though I wish the receptionist had walked us to our annex building when we first checked in.

United States of AmericaAddition of an air conditioner would be nice.
This hotel is fine considering where it is located. The rooms are small but the size is fine for one night stay. The location is perfect for a visit especially if you arrive in the late afternoon when the crowds are getting much thinner. In this case, you'll have this place to yourself in the evening and can visit the abbey first thing in the morning and leave before all the tourists start to arrive. We had a room in the main building with no view and an air conditioner. Again, this was ok for one night stay in September. We also purchased a dinner which was't special but was ok.

United States of AmericaHotel parking is on the mainland in a lot designated for hotel guests, then you take a shuttle. Parking is something like 25 Euros/night. The parking fee was not prominently called out on the booking page. Also it was not clear how the parking works. We didn't receive a parking code from the hotel prior to arrival. When arrived at the lot the automated entrance gate was down. We accessed the lot by pushing the Help button on the gate and getting assistance through a speaker. The hotel staff wasn't helpful explaining the parking process. The next day we took our parking ticket to a kiosk near all of the parking lots and paid. Then approaching the exit gates they automatically opened without presenting our ticket. I'm still not sure if we were suppose to pay at all or receive a parking code prior to arrival.
The room was in the "Annex" about 4 minute walk from the building where the front desk is located. By the time we arrived most day tourist had gone for the evening plus the village is compact so the location was not an issue. However, I think we arrived around 10pm and there was no food to had on the entire Mont- no restaurants or bars open, even the vending machines were turned off. The room itself was clean, the bathroom a little small. Be prepared to get your luggage up a cobblestone path incline with a few stairs. It was amazing to be there once the tourist had gone and before they had arrived the next day.

United States of AmericaAbsolutely wonderful to be able to stay overnight on this incredible island in the shadow of the 1000 year old Abbey, Mont Saint Michel. The island and Abbey are the draw. Hotel could use some sprucing up but in the big scheme of things just felt lucky to stay here.

United States of AmericaI had to check in the different location (at Les Terrasses Pouland). The workers of the restaurant in the ground level didn’t know well about the hotel above them. I walked two round trips between this hotel and the check in hotel among crowds. Also, the ground level restaurant entrance door is hard to open, so I used the side door.
It was clean and comfortable even the building is off course very old. It was nice and interesting experience to stay a night in the Mont Saint Michel island.

New ZealandReception acknowledged that TV access was not available during our stay and wi-fi was very iffy on our 2nd day.
Room 305 (in the Annexe Jean d’Arc) was a budget room and thus a little tight but it worked all the same for us. However, for those not keen on narrow staircases and different locations for reception and dining this may not be an ideal arrangement. We loved it!

AustraliaWe had booked a room with I bed. All the images show rooms with roof beams and old details. However , our room was in an annex, and had no old details inside. The description does say there is an annex but the website has no pictures of these annex rooms. Those rooms still have great views but not the old character, which is what we were hoping for.
The location, it was wonderful being able to stay on this history island with its 1000 year history
