Booking.com guest review guidelinesTo keep the rating score and review content relevant for your upcoming trip, we archive reviews older than 24 months.
Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This lets us know that our reviews come from real guests, like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or quiet room than someone who’s stayed at the property before?
We want you to share your story, both the good and the bad. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinion and experiences, which are critical in helping guests make well-informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, and are treated with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after being moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
Once a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We will use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content as well as the property replies to that content.

Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

눉Food options or lack thereof. We called for room service at 21.50 and kitchen had closed (on the menu it says until 21.45) Also very few options at breakfast and everything was pretty much "finished" and not refilled at 10am (when it supposedly ends at 10.30)
눇We got upgraded so couldn't be happier with our spacious room and our own hammam in the shower! Also had a wonderful spa treatment, which was the main reason to go after a long day with my in-laws

눉The breakfast which cost £22.00 per person per day and was an extra was very poor. Very moderate selection of food which did not change over 7 days. There was no menu option just a restricted continental buffet. There were often no staff present in the breakfast area when we arrived and we often waited 10 minutes or more for juice and coffee. I have never stayed in a 5 star hotel before and not been offered a breakfast menu option. The breakfast would be rated 2-3 star at best.
눇Great room, large kingsize bed, with balcony and excellent bathroom facilities. Reception staff were excellent and very helpful.

눉No forewarning of the prices in the restaurant - but it was worth it!
눇We had booked a superior double and received a free upgrade to junior suite, which was lovely to luxuriate in after a long journey. The meal in the Casino Rotonde restaurant was expensive but undoubtedly the most exquisite meal we have ever had - anywhere! We didn't want to leave in the morning.

눉The cooked elements of the breakfast were barely luke warm - and there was only one choice of eggs. I'm sure if we had asked, we could have had something else, but there was very minimal staff presence

눉Every thing was wonderful, the only slight negative was traffic noise while sitting on the balcony. It didn't spoil it, and we would definitely go back again. With the doors closed we couldn't hear a sound, but could hear the traffic with them open.
눇Wow! Awesome hotel, and we have stayed in a few! The staff were courteous and attentive. The decor and size of the suite was was wonderful, loved the bathroom, and what a fab shower! The breakfast was of superior quality and plenty of it.

눉There was nowhere local to eat on the Sunday evening. We had room service on the terrace, which was fine.
눇The hotel was fantastic, luxurious and comfortable. The room, bed, bathroom and terrace were enormous and the blindness and pillows were excellent. We ate in the rotonde restaurant on one night which was fabulous and not too expensive (just quite expensive)!

눉Massage was not available in spa unless one had booked. If a resident is exploring Lyons for the first time, difficult to tell time one would return. Drinks in the spa were not hot enough and water in swimming pool could have been warmer. The decor in the restaurant was rather avant garde, not classy enough and not to my liking for a 2 star Michelin.
눇Mr Malle's 2 star food is fabulous and the chance to meet him was an honour. Luxurious room, excellent service. Nice to see "freebies" from the hotel eg chocolates, drinks and body creams sent to your room.
