The room is quite compact and the mattress is not the most comfortable but the location is ideal and it suits us for one night stays.

Staff friendly and helpful. We had a good meal in the restaurant. Glad we reserved a table as many walk-ins were turned away. Very convenient location for the ferry. Plenty of parking

A nice, clean, comfortable room. Good continental breakfast, plenty of choice and really good coffee. The hotel is close to the ferry port for foot passengers. The bus stop for Caen is only 50m away so really easy to get around by public transport, a great base for exploring. The staff kindly stored our luggage on first and last day and were very helpful throughout.

Our only comment would be what the rooms are looking tired now and needs some attention . paper peeling and torn. Some mold in the toilet and bathroom. The room was very clean , and the beds were very comfortable

The breakfasts did not start till 07.00. Not enough time for a proper breakfast before check in for ferry. I think a hotel which serves a ferry port and passengers should have breakfast available in time for the ferry, possibly opening for 06..30 at the latest. The room did not have even tea making facilities.

Bathroom was very small. We were cycle touring and had to pay €5 per night per bike to have the bikes stored inside downstairs which seemed a little stingy.

Fantastic location for using the Caen Ferry. Room was reasonable. Breakfast was good. Staff were generally friendly. We didn't try the restaurant but it seemed very busy inferring it was probably pretty good.

Wifi in room non existent! (Usually fine, but this time, we were down the end of the corridor. C'est la vie).

Check in fine. Dinner marvellous: staff brilliant (except the duty manageress, who did her best to stop us getting a table, luckily her colleagues were more accommodating). Food excellent, portions enormous!

Parking cost in municipal car park opposite hotel quite pricey. Free, I think, nearer the port

Excellent stop over before getting the early ferry. Hotel is within view of the checkin for Brittany ferry to Portsmouth, less than 5min drive. Basic double comfortable with en suite, and excellent value. Just time to have a quick buffet breakfast at 7am and easily reach ferry checkin before 7.45am. Evening meal at the restaurant was tasty and also good value. Local seafood very good. Lots of parking nearby free 7pm to 9am.

Don’t particularly like the stairs, but I know about them and still booked it. Room 18 a little tired and needs re-decorating (torn wallpaper).

Location, perfect for ferry. Restaurant was excellent, good wholesome food well cooked, very accommodating for dietary requirements. Staff very pleasant and welcoming.

The hotel was well situated with ample parking near the ferry terminal. the rooms were perfectly adequate for our requirements for one night. the outside seating area was very good even though on the main ferry route. we had drinks and food were good as was the service. I would definitely use it again

The shower in the room was broken. The shower head and hose were fine, plenty of hot water, but no hook to put the shower head into, so had to hand hold the shower all the time. We left too early to inform the staff.

Yes, the room was a little tired but it was comfortable. The bathroom door needed a handle and lock ideally but not the end of the world. All in all, it's a great value for money hotel.

The location of this hotel is perfect for taking the ferry back to the UK. The staff are so friendly. There is a good atmosphere from the moment you walk into the hotel. We spoke to a number of people who come back to this hotel time after time. What does that tell you? It's our second stay and we will stay here again for sure!
