Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A charming, thoughtful and friendly host adds to the experience. Bathroom on the small side but that is pretty usual in France. Very comfortable bed in a lovely, quirky vintage styled room. Great location and easy to reach everything Antibes has to offer.

Having to pay a supplement of €10 to park a car,
Staff very friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. Excellent breakfast with a great choice of fresh fruit, meats and cheese. The hotel was in easy walking distance of the old town and market place.

Traditional and off the main road in quiet lane. Hosts were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you to make your stay comfortable. Clean and provided all that was needed for short stay

it felt a bit run down. corners were being cut - e.g tiny portion of butter provided at breakfast. Room hadn’t been thoroughly checked before our arrival - e.g TV not working.
It was small & cosy & felt like stepping back into a different era. Fabulous location. Very relaxed & relaxing.

Hosts were very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has beautiful quiet surroundings. The breakfast is amazing and sitting in the lush garden is a great start to the day. Will definitely be coming back!

The outside garden and lounge area are so peaceful and a wonder place to unwind. breakfast is nice and a great price. They rent bikes and snorkeling gear super readable. really everything you need. it is close by all the action but tucked away on a quiet side street so you can return to peace. And the host goes out of his way always!

This property was really beautiful, surrounded by trees and plants. It was in a quiet but very convenient location. Our room was tastefully decorated and reflected the overall ambience… a charming little haven of peace and tranquility. It was also comfortable, very clean and had air conditioning .

A small fridge would have been great.
The location is just perfect, a little bit outside the noisy vieille ville and not far from the sea. The hosts Efva and Martin are very humble people. The breakfast was great and the rooms wuite small but very cute and classy.

Bathroom is quite tiny, so be aware if you are a larger person.
This is a great hotel with a wonderful garden and within walking distance to the beaches. The room was very comfortable and well designed. The breakfast in the garden was nice each day. They owners were friendly and helpful. We were able to rent bicycles and borrow items to use at the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The owners are super attentive and helpful. They ask if you need anything all the time. It's a small place and has a cozy atmosphere. They provide beach towels and umbrellas. It's 3 mins to the beach and 10 mins to the old town.

The bed was a bit French (aka tin not very comfortable matras)
The people were so so nice. The breakfast was very lovely and the hotel was beautiful. The beach is just around the corner and they have a ton of parasols you can grab.

Le Ponteil is a very charming house and quiet haven close to the beaches of Cap d’Antibes by car and a 10 minutes walk from Vieux Antibes.
