It would have been fine if it was half the price. 80 euros for a room like that is twice as much as you could get at a budget hotel. I’d have given it a 10 if it had been the right price for a room.

    Good location.

Absence of kettle in the room, dust floor and spiderweb on the walls.

Very nice staff! Great hotel location. New clean towels and shower gel every day. Amazing restaurant, very delicious and beautiful food! Payment in the end of stay.

    Nothing.

Really comfortable room with a balcony facing the Citadel. It was nice to sit on their terrace and have a drink after a long day. The restaurant is well worth eating in even if the staff are a bit ordinary. Other staff in the hotel are very friendly so it might have been an off night in the restaurant. The location is very good, on the opposite side of the Citadel to the city centre. In fact you look down it from the Citadel. The location is very quiet but conveniently there are two supermarkets within a 2 minutes drive - but you wouldn't know they are there when you are in the hotel.

Bathroom a little basic. Service a little 'funtional'.

Bedroom basic but funky design and done well. Food and bar good. Location good. Service fine but no better than that.

Had a room facing the rear and a dog barked continuously in a neighbouring property for 20 mins or so as we were getting ready to sleep. Would ask for a room facing the front Dinner portions were huge and not particularly good - undercooked duck and Roesti swamped with sauce

Excellent location with a clear view of the citadel

Our room was really small and didn't make feel at home, wouldn't recommand it for several nights. But standard is ok, to sleep there absolutely no problem. The breakfast is average.

The view on the castle, also from the hotel, is very good. You can walk around it without paying. The kitchen of the hotel is fantastic and the restaurant is very nice decorated, very light with many windows and has a high ceiling. You can definetely spend a nice evening there. The staff was kind to our dog, the dog could sit next to us in the restaurant.

Front desk staff were very reserved and not very informative or welcoming (or perhaps just French?)

The room was clean and comfortable, although the layout was an interesting retrospective with the toilet and sink/shower separately enclosed. The bed was fine, the food in the restaurant excellent with very patient wait staff. The location was excellent, just outside the old city, with excellent view of the Fortress. Very convenient for sightseeing.

Parking isn't hidden away but, as it's next to the police station, I was quite happy leaving my bike parked out front - though a post or rail to chain it to would have been nice

The restaurant is excellent - good food and reasonably priced. Hotel itself is basic but good: no fuss, no frills, just clean and comfy. Decent shower too. Good free WiFi.
