Very small bathroom with no knee space sat on toilet 🥴. Shower curtain useless, grubby/ old stains and it didn't stop water spray out onto bathroom floor. Not too bad the night we stayed, but lack of aircon could be an issue on hotter nights.

Excellent position in the heart of the buzzing old town overlooking the harbour. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Public areas, rooms and bathrooms clean. Seemed recently re-furbed - new tiles, flooring, headboard, decor. Could hear some external noise, (heart of buzzing area!) but rooms had a single AND a double glazed doors, so not much more could be done.

It was an experience stepping back into a time long gone , you could imagine been there during the war , if them walls could talk they could tell you some stories, done the job for a group of lads for one night , rooms were clean and tidy bathroom very clean Perfect for us but not for a romantic or long stay

Shower head attachment broken. WiFi connection was “insecure “ so couldn’t connect. No lock on bathroom door. No extractor fan in bathroom.

Room faced on to old port so there was some noise at night.

Unbeatable location, well priced. Sizeable, clean room with nice bathroom. Room cleaned and bedding made up every morning.Booking in and out straightforward. Would use again.

Very noisy at night. People partying until 4 the next day. No air conditioning so had to have windows open. Had a leak in the toilet and couldn’t shut the door properly either. Managed to stop the leak, overflowing cistern, but it did make a mess, couldn’t report it as it was about 3am and no one around when went downstairs.

Right in the heart of La Rochelle. Rooms were above a cafe/restaurant. Overlooking the harbour and the square. Very pretty. Parking was in a public underground car park but it was quite inexpensive to stay all day and night.

Excellent city centre location on Port. Room had full length double doors/window leading onto balcony with a view of the Towers, port and streetscape. Near cafés, restaurants and shops. Very clean, towels changed daily. Very good value.

Rooms could do with updating. No shower head holder in bath. Daily housekeeping stopped over weekend for 2 days. No soap/shampoo provided.

Room very dated and needing repairs - shower leaked out onto floor when in use. No air conditioning and with location, got very noisy when leaving windows open some night to try cool room. Place could benefit from some repairs/modernisation as paint and wallpaper damaged/peeling in room and stairwell.

Parking was awkward, we had to use an underground multi-storey. The next day we struggled to find a way in and it took us awhile to get our car back.

Amazing double doors and little balcony, overlooking the harbour and sea fort. La Rochelle is the city that never sleeps, and the most vibrant place in France that we’ve visited. The rest was usual budget standard. Bed was comfortable, staff friendly and kind. Children’s play park right opposite, by the harbour.

Good location. Nice view from the room. As it is located by the main harbour, it is nosey especially in the night. (lots of restaurants and bars below), but there were double windows which did well to block the noise.

Rooms are older and a bit dated so not the most luxurious. However, for the price of the stay and perfect location this is not a major issue at all. Rooms are warm in the summer too with no AC so you need to leave the door open, which can be noisy at night outside. But when the doors are closed, the soundproofing is really good!

Perfect central location right on the harbour, close to plenty shops, cafés and restaurants. Room is older and a bit dated, but also some of the rooms have balcony views of the harbour which is definitely worth it.

It was good value for money, was very clean, was in a great location and the staff were polite, friendly and professional.

We had a lovely stay in the hotel. It's right at the port.
