Nice quiet relaxed start to our holiday.

Be aware that reception closes at 7pm on Monday as the restaurant is not open, you will need to contact them to arrange to collect your room key. Hot water to the shower takes time to come through, so needs to be left to run for a short while and is not powered.

Quiet location with lovely views across the bay and good walks along the promenade in each direction. Beach is slightly rocky as normal along this part of the coast. Bed was comfortable, rooms a little cramped. There is a button next to the bed to lower the shutters as there are no curtains or blind to keep out the morning light. Restaurant was very good and staff helpful and friendly. You will need to practice your French as only a little English is spoken but it is in France after all!

    Nothing - just bliss.

Well, what can I say? We turned up a day late – all my fault, but were greeted with great friendliness by Madame and her staff. We were given a fabulous room with views of the sea to die for. The rooms are immaculate but don’t expect tea making facilities! This is a top class “French” hotel. The situation is quite unbelievable – we were there in cloudless blue skies and a howling gale but the views from our room and the rest of the hotel are quite staggering whatever the weather. The food is probably the best we have eaten in France and we have been to a LOT of places. So fresh is the seafood that it almost jumps off the plate, all served with wonderful quiet efficiency by the hosts – they are too nice to called just staff. We just loved the place. We went in a 50 year old Lotus Elan made of plastic so sea air does not worry it but if you have an old Jaguar park it somewhere else or it could be a pile of rust by morning so close is the sea! We will go back as it is a truly wonderful place to stay – top marks all round.
