On my last night, someone in the room above droned on and on on his phone at 2 am keeping me awake. Bad soundproofing! Decor was quite shoddy and needed repainting.

We booked this place not having read their information that they had no cycle storage (we are cycle tourists). We were so impressed that the man on reception had gone to a lot of trouble to find safe parking for our bikes overnight. Room was just newly refurbished and really excellent, will stay here when we are back in Rennes.

One of the lifts wasn't working so there was only one for quite a lot of rooms over 4 floors. This meant that you had to wait a bit longer for the lift to arrive. Not a big thing, really.

Someone on the desk 24/7 was useful. Very friendly lady who was there over night. I had an early start as I needed to be at the airport for 8am, so breakfast served from 5.45 onwards was really useful too.

Not only is there a major renovation of the train station going on across the road, the hotel itself is undergoing renovations as well. The rooms are dated, but as the hotel is undergoing renovations, I suspect that these will be updated as well.

It was very close to the train station. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast looked amazing although I didn't partake in it. Although dated, the room was clean.

It is a very small hotel and does not have any foyer. Therefore you had to spend too much time in the bedroom, which was quite small. However, it was good value for money.

The hotel should provide more space for drying their towels, We had to hang towels on the shower recess. They do not have a toilet roll holder which should be the obvious thing to provide. The bathroom is long and narrow so difficult to move around.

The work going directly on outside the window from early morning until late night and through the night, seven days a week. It might have been good to be positioned on the other side of the hotel, considering we were staying a full week. In the end the lack of sleep took it's toll. Also, a kettle so we could make a drink in the morning/evening might've been a good touch. All in all, we were happy and would stay again.

Great location, right next to gare and Brittany museum (a must) and only 15 minute stroll right into old town and parks, basic but clean and comfortable, very helpful and happy staff.

The bathroom was an awkward shape, probably added later, unusual for a relatively modern building. This made it difficult to sit on the loo. The television only had French language channels, Sky News or similar would be good. Like many French hotels, breakfast was limited, so I did not choose to take it. It will be good when these owners realise that continental breakfast is more than croissant, bread and jam. They should visit the Netherlands or Switzerland and learn.

The room was on the fourth floor, with a view over the station plaza. At present this is a construction site for the second metro line, but potentially very good. The room had opening windows, which is good as I like fresh air. The bed was comfortable.

This is a fantastic location for the city centre and the train station. The receptionist was English speaking and very helpful . Being opposite the train station (La Gare) there is also a metro you can use to St Anne that takes you to the old town of Rennes, you then can walk and shop back to the hotel if you want to , or catch the metro back to the train station opposite the hotel. The rooms are very clean and the showers are really good. It's also a great location for restaurants (Try Le Cafe Noir)

You really only get the bare minimum in the room, and overall it looks a bit worn down and dingy. The furniture is old and chipped, the carpet is a bit sad, there is no air conditioning, etc. The Internet was mostly fine, but the process for connecting (which you need to re-do every 2 hours or so) can be a bit annoying. Excellent for a pit stop, but I would not recommend it for an extended stay.

Extremely close to the Gare (easy for late arrivals/early departures), and also located in a very active square with many cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, bus stations, etc. Bed is comfortable, bathroom is reasonably equipped, and overall cleanliness is good.
