Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

My Towels were misplaced by the house keeper that came in to clean on Thursday morning. She mistook them for the Hotels' and when I complained to her she wasn't professional and couldn't be bothered about finding them because of language barrier. So I didn't get them back

No mini bar in the room. No bottle water, even 1 bottle for welcome. We pay almost 100 euro more, to get better room, but still got the wall view. It doesn't matter that the stuff tolld that we will get the Basilica view. Breakfast quite poor. Coffee in the breakfast not good at all. No small butters at the breakfast, but you have to dig it from the bucket. No margarine for guest whos fasting or having alregi for milk products. Jam is in jar, not a small packages, so everyone is diging in the jar with the spoon and the knife. Very unhygienic. Jam jars were almost empty each day. I stayed 4 days. It is clear that hotel saves the money on such a basic things. More over the night rate for accomodation is not a cheap at all. Hyatt hotel wich is side having much better selection and having no money saving policy regarding breakfast. Hyatt having beautiful views as well from the room.

The water refilling machine on my floor and the one below were not working when I first checked in. Though it was a great environmentally friendly idea to provide water bottles for refilling with machine that could provide chilled still or sparkling water.
Great location next to conference centre and metro. Lots of restaurants nearby and bakeries nearby. Room was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was quite small. parts of hotel look a little old. lobby a little lifeless compared to what I remembered pre-Covid.

The price of the room is too high. The poor choice at the restaurant and personnel not kind and inexpert.

The tissue of the seat in my room was broken, the table not so clean, and the pouf seat has marks of pens. The door of the bathroom was difficult to open and close.
The geografical situation in front of Porte Maillot, confortable bed.

Was slightly let down with the shower area that needs a revamp as the shower tray leakedwater out onto the floor, carpet was stained in a few areas. Overall nice stay but ensuite needs quite a bit of work.

Even the club rooms are extremely small. The club lounge was closed apparently yet again due to renovations. However, I did not see any activity taking place.
Breakfast was excellent.Location was good, especially if you enjoy walking. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Better view and able to open the windows.
The first room that I got had a bad view and it was not possible to open the windows. I was offered another room in which it was possible to open the window by a couple of mm. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices. Location was also close to the conference center which was very good. I think that the rooms were a overpriced due to the conferences.
