Little bit dated on both the inside and outside of the hotel, bathroom smelled a little bit strange but I think it was down to the cleaning products that were used as it was quite clean.

Good location, nice and easy parking, decent WiFi, comfortable room for a very reasonable price.

Don't forget to manually turn up the heating. :) Don't expect more than a modest room. I don't know what the neighborhood is like during the day because I only came in to sleep.

I traveled with my dog and was curious about the historic site before the Eurotunnel the next day. At first, I was a bit worried, but I was pleasantly surprised. They were very kind, and we had a great evening walk in the harbor and its surroundings. There's parking available. The place doesn't offer more than what it is, but I was satisfied for that short time.

Breakfast was disappointing - we weren't on the list, the food scattered on different tables across the large room, and felt like there wasn't enough food, with a small platter on each table, milk not next to the cereals etc. and not much choice. When we checked in the manager chastised the receptionist for serving us when other customers had a problem. In all it seemed badly organised.

The hotel is a plain building lacking decorative features and the bedroom had older fittings and furniture which gave it a quirky feel. Others might think it unloved, but like that it's different from chain hotels.There was good on-street parking for free, and it was a short walk to restaurants and shops.

No kettle, coffee, tea making facilities, a must in my opinion, although, you could get a drink from reception, not good getting dressed to do this though. No air conditioning, room very warm.

We would have liked a kettle in the room and the wardrobe was very close to one side of the bed which was a bit awkward - and rather odd as the room was fairly large. When we tried opening the window a seagull perched on the ledge below and tried to get in so we had to keep it almost closed!

The location was excellent, very close to the centre of town. The room was clean and comfortable and had a nice view. The parking was also very good and the staff were very helpful

The only bad thing is lack of air con or even a fan in the rooms. We stayed in Aug and temp outside was about 20 degrees C but the heat in the room was unbearable, window was wide open but no airflow at all. Hotel really needs to at least have a fan in the rooms during the summer as we could not sleep at all and were drenched in sweat the whole night! Very uncomfortable.

-Breakfast could improve; -The doors are so heavy that when people would close it, it shakes all the walls from my room plus the noise. It was barely impossible to sleep once people started to arrive or leave. -The hotel's management: I booked 2 rooms for my family of 2 adults and 2 kids( 1 room is not enough). One of the rooms they gave us was conjugate, but they put another customer in the conjugate room. The door that separated the rooms didn't lock. Basically, the strange customer had all access to my room with my kid and the other way around. Unbelievable!!!!!!! While my husband with my kid was put firstly on another floor then he complained, and he got one nearer.

Can’t enter Hotel until 4pm as stated, no early book in or leaving of cases. Rooms are dated, but perfectly clean.

Location. Nice big bathroom & shower. Breakfast pleasant. Lift to rooms. Welcoming staff.
