Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI would have preferred the toilet to be in the bathroom together with shower and sink, but it wasn’t a big deal.
The apartment is small but has all the necessary amenities, it’s nice, comfortable and the position is great nearby all the services. The hosts are great and easy to communicate with! I would definitely recommend it!

SpainThe initial entrance hall is not very attractive but don't be put off. You then face a long haul up 3 flights of stairs. No problem for fit people but not for everyone. It could also present a challenge if travelling with a lot/heavy luggage. This didn't present any problem for 2 reasonably fit 72 year olds.
A lovely apartment, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. It's location could not be more central. Just a few short steps from Les Halles market. The owners were very communicative and helpful. This was by far the best accomodation on our 5 week journey around western Europe.

GermanyThe two owners were really nice and the apartment was really comfortable and lovely. We travelled as two friends and the holiday flat was totally sufficient for us. It is equipped with everything you need and was also clean. The location was great, because everything was within walking distance. It was very lovely decorated and the value for money was definitely kept. We look forward to book it again on our next visit.

Great location near centre of old town. Very comfortable apartment with kitchen and washing machine. Our host was very attentive to fix a blind when we first arrived and communicated very well

AustraliaThe stairs were hard with a suitcase, but worth it.
The location was close to the main area of the city and walkable from the train station. Having a washing machine was an added bonus.

United KingdomThe apartment is in a central location and is very well-equipped. The hosts have thought about all the little details e.g. they provide restaurant recommendations, two sets of keys, laundry detergent and all the kitchen equipment you might need. The AC works great too. This was a lovely place to stay and we would happily return!

CanadaThe property is in a great location, but it’s up several flights of stairs so if you have mobility issues or lots of baggage it could be a challenge. It was OK for us as a young couple.
The property is in the heart of Avignon and is perfect for exploring the walled city. It’s close to lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. The apartment is clean and has a washing machine, kitchen and TV. Very communicative hosts.

BelgiumFor us the bed was a bit small for two persons, but this is not something that would keep us from coming back.
Great location, modern studio with everything needed available. The communication with the hosts was just great. Also, the studio comes with air conditioning which can prove very useful during hot summer days.

FranceGreat location! Right in the town square! Very quiet, clean and comfy place. You can find everything you will need in the kitchen. Also, you should park your car in the Italians parking (free) and take the free shuttle that stops 5 meters from the apartment.

United KingdomApartment is up 3 flights of stairs with no lift. This wasn't a problem for us but could be for others, especially carrying luggage.
Sweet little apartment in the old town. Easy to find and instructions to access outer door and apartment door were clear and included pictures. Very clean. Well equipped for 2 people. We cooked a couple of simple meals. Next to Les Halles market for fresh food including meals to oven cook. Nearby little supermarket. Very quiet at night. Shower was good. Short walk to all attractions

RomaniaThe property is a modestly but tastefully furnished attic (+), located on the 3rd floor of a high building without an elevator (-) across the street from Parking Les Halles (++). Cost of parking is between 0.6 and 2 euros/hour and 19.3 euro for 24 hours. The door at the entrance to the building is difficult to open (-) as you have to push it very hard. There are many steep stairs to the front door (-), and the bed is under the sloping part of the attic (--), which does not recommend the property for tall people, nor for the elderly or those with locomotor disorders. The kitchen (+) has a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and a Bosch coffee machine that we didn't know how to use, but we missed napkins, tray, tablecloth, paper towels and other small things adding to the personality of an apartment and increasing comfort (-). There is a washing machine (+) in the bathroom (that we did not use in our short stay of 3 nights). Multiple options to eat or buy food around (+), including the Halles, the restaurants in Place Pie, a Carrefour etc. The owners are easily accessible and kind (+).

United KingdomWell, I knew it was on the 3rd floor, so thought I'd only have 2 lots of stairs to go up. But the ground floor was not included in the count - and there were 70 stairs to climb. Not an issue for most people, but I am in my 60s with a sore hip so I did struggle a bit, especially with my suitcase on arrival. Otherwise the apartment was perfect, and I'd rate it a 10/10
The location of the building was good, very convenient for all the attractions of Avignon. 15 minutes walk to the station. Lots of cafes close by, and several small supermarkets. The apartment was spotlessly clean, good bed linens, and a wonderful shower. The kitchen had everything needed. I did not meet the hosts, but when I had an issue with finding how to start the washing machine, they responded to my message immediately and were most helpful. I would recommend this apartment.

United StatesThis apartment is great for those who travel light. If you have lots of luggage, the stairs can be a bit of a work-out.
This was one of my favorite vacation apartments in France. The location is super, next to Les Halles market + lots of restaurants and just a short walk into the restored area of the old town. The apartment had all the comforts of home, lots of extra details from wonderful hosts. Thank you!
