United KingdomWe are puzzled that on both occasions that we made our booking online, the website stated that the restaurant is closed, yet it has been open on both of our visits. The food is very good and the restaurant is well furnished but it needs a bit of ambient music in the background to soften the atmosphere. The restaurant staff are OK but could smile a little more at times. The reception staff are friendly.
We liked the location of the hotel, the secure car park (worth paying for), we liked our room very much. In the restaurant we treated ourselves to the Menu Découvert which was absolutely delicious. We have used this hotel twice now as an overnight stop on our way home from Austria. The hotel is excellent and we love the town of Verdun.

United KingdomThe staff had to be searched for on the day of arrival when we needed help with anything (or service at the bar), generally they were all in the restaurant chatting / having coffee and we had to try and get someone’s attention. One had particularly bad body odour which was really unpleasant. The lady on check out was very nice.
Beautiful building with a secure car park (that you have to pay for). The rooms were great, very clean, they have a kettle and complimentary water, the beds are comfy, showers good, and there’s a lift. Views over the river are great.

United Kingdom- The Restaurant and Bar are run by a separate company. The Barman doubles up as a server and the Restaurant trumps the Bar so if the Restaurant is busy there is no bar service. Or if it’s quiet, ditto. Luckily for us Charlotte came to our rescue! - No fridge - they have been removed apart from the Suites (?) - we had Deluxe Rooms. As we were there for four days we would have liked the facility to keep milk and cold water etc - No coffee machine - maybe this is also available in the Suites. Nescafé instant coffee is slightly passé! - The Meuse facing rooms with the balconies are lovely, but as stated by others, noisy. Bring earplugs and enjoy the view! - We would stay again!
Charlotte on Reception gets a 10/10 as do the Housekeeping team - the room was spotlessly clean. Incredibly grateful for the air conditioning when it was 34 degrees outside! Onsite parking invaluable and good value too.
