Needed more than one night!

Great communication and friendly welcome. Fantastic location a few steps from the old town with garage parking. Spacious and very well equipped apartment. Good breakfast. We enjoyed walking around town, spotting all the different street art in an impressive historical setting. Loads of vibrant bars and restos to choose from.

If you come with your car try to contact owner before arrival so when you find a property he can come out and show your parking spot .

Well looked after house. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and all that made you feel like home away from home. The owner also spoke English. For those who like sports you can watch all Canal + sports on telly- nice touch. You have your parking next to the house right across the property. Breakfast served by owners- awesome.

Very good location, on a quiet sreet close to beatiful town centre. Lovely and large appartment with a nice terrace. Excellent and healthy breakfast included in the price. But best of all the owner Jean François, he's the perfect host and he really cares about guests. He gave me very good tips for my visit and dinner in Angouleme. And, since I had little time for sightseeing, in the morning he suggested that he would take my luggage by car to the railway station, where I met him after a beautiful walk along Charente river! Wonderful apartment. Very kind and helpful hosts who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Superb breakfast. Excellent facilities. Wish we could have spent more time there. Hope to return sometime.

Loved everything

Everything about this accommodation was fantastic. I can't believe what we got for our money. We received a warm welcome with some local information. We were so tired when we arrived, so we just had dinner (pre bought) and drinks on the wonderful terrace, with absolutely fantastic views. So comfortable moving indoors to finish our drinks and a comfortable nights sleep. Jean francois and his partner put on a wonderful breakfast and allowed us to leave our car in the garage while we went to explore. I would highly recommend this accommodation. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Angouleme is so beautiful, quaint and sleepy village. We will hopefully return. Thank you so much Jean francois.

The room was huge with an additional very large outdoor terrace, which made the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional and free parking was a bonus. Good location with only a short walk to go into the old town.

Our accommodation was wonderful. The entry to the apartment was old so what a surprise to go downstairs to a huge, lovely area overlooking a sunny,private garden. The layout was quite unique and it at all stereotype. At the guests’ disposal is a large tiled sitting/dining area which is very homely. The attached bedroom and bathroom (once again so very roomy) can be locked off although unnecessary as the whole area is exclusive. We were very comfortable in every way here and in the morning Jean-Francois and his lovely wife served us a traditional French breakfast of baguettes, croissant , yoghurt, fruit and many other items all beautifully presented. Our hosts were very gentle, kind and caring. It was a short walk up the hill to the town where there were many dining options. We appreciated having a garage on which to park our at and although it was not locked up we found the area to be very safe. A great stop for us and highly recommended.

Our hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming and served us a 5* breakfast in the morning. At our disposal we had a large double bedroom and bathroom, a lounge and dinning area and a terrace overlooking the towns rooftops. It was a 2 minute walk to the City walls and it’s amazing old buildings. We were passing through Abgoulême on our way back to the UK, and wish we could have stayed a couple more days. Plenty to see and do.

It’s a beautifully appointed suite in a great location just outside the old city walls. I wanted to stay longer! And the breakfast included is a veritable feast! Covered parking is available just across the street. A very friendly welcome from the hosts as well.

Everything.! Absolutely fantastic one night stay, which we wish could have been longer. The most beautiful apartment with so many lovely touches that were so appreciated. Never had such a wonderful breakfast, served with so much love and attention to detail. Couldn't recommend this little gem highly enough so if ever visiting Angouleme be sure to book in here. The hosts were absolutely fantastic, really lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was also delicious. The location is great - only a couple of minutes walk into the town. The apartment itself is very spacious with a lovely light lounge/dining area and its own garden as well as a separate bedroom.
