Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

BelgiumThe water cooker had really weird stuff in it so we didn’t dare use it. The pots didn’t really seem to fit the stove well, which made cooking a bit complicated. Although it’s nice that the toilet is in a separate room, you do risk waking up people sleeping in the sofa bed if you have to use the bathroom. The apartment wasn’t very easy to spot in the street, as it doesn’t have a visible number on the wall.
The apartment has a bedroom with adjacent bathroom and a sofa bed in the living room.

United KingdomThe toilet has a terrible smell, it made us all feel sick and my children were holding it in until they could use a toilet at a local cafe or restaurant. It’s been mentioned in previous reviews, so seems to be an ongoing issue :( We tried sprays and air fresheners but the smell persisted; a real shame as otherwise this would be a 10/10 property!
The apartment is small but spacious and a clever use of space! The shower was really lovely and the sofa bed made up in advance. The kitchen had everything we needed, and washing up liquid was provided. The local area is lovely, and the property is close to a good supermarket (Match) and some lovely restaurants and cafes, also very close to the free shuttle bus so very easy for getting to and from the ferry.

United KingdomThe dining table rocked and was unstable, our meal and drinks nearly fell to the floor.. The sofa had to be moved to see the TV. The toilet was situated by the living room and we could smell it. We were unable to access the WiFi. The pillows of foam chips were very poor quality. The towel rail in the bathroom was unstable. The curtains in the front room did not provide privacy, as they were not fully connected to the rails.
The location was good, with easy street parking and the kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom were generally acceptable for an overnight stay.

GermanyUnpleasant smell at the living room, a bit musty.comes from the small toilet which is not part of the bathroom but next to the entrance. bathroom is behind the sleeping room, the set up of the rooms is quite unpractical, especially with kids.
Near the beach,light tower and Caps, flat big enough and nice living room. Bed was ok as well .

MalaysiaWe arrived at night..first thing first, the apartment located at second floor and the stair to upper floor are very small..i need to bring big heavy bag on my own and it was hard and dangerous as the stair condition.. During the stay, it was BLACKOUT incident for almost 20 times in that night..first time blackout i called the host and she guided me to turn on the electricity back..and few more minutes the blackout happens again and again..i called charlotte back and ask for help or send electricity guys to take a look..and she reply THERE NO TECHNICAL GUYS AVAILABLE..there was problem with the electrical appliances that the house can’t take more capacity electricity..we TURN OFF all the electrical appliances including the heater so that the blackout wont happen again..and you know without the heater it was f**ki*g cold on that night..i asked for compensate as it was terrible experience during that night and she replied YOU CAN LEAVE IF YOU WANT AND SHE WILL RETURN THE MONEY..irresponsible host! it was already late night, plus i already took 5 big bag upstairs and she asked me to leave the house..🤦🏻♂️ so that’s it..NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL..

Germanyfake hose never showed up after paying for a night. We arrived Calais at 00.00 and waited outside for over an hour in the cold with my 2 kids. I called and called , never picked, send messages to inform we were standing outside, never replied. Thanks to the Booking.com Customer Service Uk with the number +44 20 3320 2625 these teams at the time of the night were Angels that helped us when the Frankfurt Germany customers service number failed. Customer service called the host, he told them he will be there in few minutes give is a code????🤔 to open door and just hanged up the phone. Opening Codes are sent after booked and paid for immediately. We waited over an hour never showed up. Customer service called him to let him back he never picked before I was then advised by the Booking.com Customer Service with this +442033202625 to book a new place. These team are the best.

United KingdomWe didn't receive the information to get into the flat until very late in the day. This initially caused us concern. When we arrived at the property after 9pm, the sofa bed for the children had not been made up and there was no linen for it. There were bare duvet and pillows (dirty and stained) under the sofa bed but no linen. The sofa bed was also not big enough for two people. We messaged Charlotte, the host, and said that due to the lack of appropriate bedding the property was not adequate for us. Charlotte initially replied quickly trying to help us find non-existent linen in the flat but then went quiet. We had no choice but to leave and check in to a nearby hotel at significant expense and stress with two exhausted young children in toe. Charlotte later messaged to say that she was coming over with bed linen but we explained again that we had already had to leave and check into another hotel so we could ensure we all had somewhere to sleep that night. We asked for a refund and Charlotte and she has not replied since. We prompted her several times for a reply but have not received a response so have had to complain to Booking.com. The apartment was generally unpleasant. The toilet was disgusting and not cleaned properly. There was exposed wiring in the bedrooms from the light. It was also evident that this was a brothel room - there was a "massage" menu on the wall including "le duo" with price list and phone number. All in all, I would strongly discourage anyone from using this apartment.

UkraineI stayed here with my 2 children, as we were very tired from long way driving and we needed some rest and sleep a night over. We arrived quite late pm but we were met at the entrance by the host, and given the keys. Please consider there is no breakfast and on the weekend nothing working in the town in the morning. We had our breakfast later on the highway petrol station.

United KingdomHad to look for alternative accommodation when we got there. Dirty apartment but more to the point was the exposed wiring and the worktop was loose along with many other problems we deemed it wasn’t safe to stay with a 3 year old! The smell from the toilet was horrendous and filled the whole apartment as it is situated next to the kitchen in the main living space. Spoke to the property owners who dismissed us and still no refund as promised by booking.com who are equally useless at resolving complaints when you eventually manage to speak to a person! Unfortunately there are only 4 photo spaces available on the review! Avoid!
