Extra charge for bedding and towels. A fan for each bedroom would have been appreciated as it was so hot. A broom would have been useful.

Very comfortable and well laid out holiday accommodation, next to two other gites. Excellent bathroom, and comfortable beds. Soap, toilet roll etc was much appreciated. Really fantastic pool, and lovely property to walk around. Excellent location in the countryside just a couple of km to Montsereau. Washing machine available for guest use which was very helpful.

I didn't notice the small print on the original booking that said sheets and towels were an additional charge. As we were staying only one night this made it quite an expensive stay.

To get to the pool we had to walk through a very badly kept overgrown garden. The pool itself was lovely but the garden was terrible.If it had not been for this I would of given it full marks

The address details need to be updated. The site is up a hillside and we took the first signed route which was a difficult winding track. A new access road has been built but we only found that as our local friends knew about it. The address given does not appear on sat nav

It took us a while to find! Directions via the flat road could be a little better as the other entrance was quite the climb for our SUV. I also appreciate they did ask us if we wanted bed linen but why are so many places nowadays a) charging for the luxury of bed linen and b) asking us to make our own beds! The chore I hate at home and look forward to avoiding on holiday!

The grounds are stunning! Beautiful views of the countryside and my daughters loved exploring. The accommodation was clean and modern - wish we stayed longer!

The exterior of the building, the grounds and the Manor House looked a little run down. The track from the main road up to the gite was very rough. The terrace surrounding the pool could have done with weeding!

Very clean, cool, had everything needed. Nicely furnished. Lovely to be able to walk to the town through the vineyards behind the property. Alex the host was very helpful and cheerful. The swimming pool was an added bonus.

I expected a washing machine so was disappointed to find none. Remote requiring a car to get around. Could not walk to a restaurant or shops easily, especially late afternoon as would have been closed.

Alexandra was lovely and provided very good instructions to find the chateau. Our apartment was in a new section recently added. Quite spacious with most facilities. Offered a walking track to local town which would be okay for daytime, however we arrived too late and tired. Wifi was very good and secure.

Ideal stay for us, helpful host met us and showed us around, we used the pool and found the location to be fine for us (with car), just outside of town of Montsoreau. Host very kindly messaged that we had left something behind after we left, in time for us to return.

Photos on Booking.com show a similar, but different unit - not a problem, except that we didn't have the one with the balcony. Not the most comfortable beds - but no sound to disturb sleep. Cutlery didn't match (but there was plenty).

Quiet, peaceful location. Friendly, welcoming host. Good base for exploring the Loire region. Excellent swimming pool. Good patio with big table. Big bathroom. Lovely to walk through the vineyards at the property. Local village of Montsoreau beautiful and provided facilities we needed. Didn't affect us, but a great place for guests with dogs.

Sadly I had difficulty finding the property. The unmade track to the property was rough and not really acceptable. On the track I got a puncture. In these awful circumstances, the lady owner was superb in her helpfulness, even taking me to an hotel for an evening dinner. 8
