Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelThe bed was not comfortable. It is not a double bed but two mattresses joined together, very uncomfortable. The shower floods the bathroom with water. The elevator is very small and dark, 2 people with a suitcase can hardly enter.
The room is small but we managed well, there is a small fridge with bottles of water every day and a safe. location was good, very close to Luxemburg gardens and Luxemburg metro staff was friendly

LuxembourgOne electric socket was not working in our room. Also room did not have sockets by each side of the bed, which nowadays is a minus, as we need to charge phones overnight.
Amazing stay near park of Luxembourg, plenty of good restaurants around. Staff was very nice, checked us in early and also upgraded the room (we had attic room with two floors, just a dream!). Breakfast was good as well, with exception that it did not have vegetable milk ( I am lactose intolerant). By the end of stay receptionist offered us to leave the luggage until our transport, which was really kind. Definitely would return. One more plus - they have l’occitane toiletries in the room , which is fantastic (I love this brand 😄)

BrazilSome rooms are very close and you can hear a bit of the noises coming from other guests. But nothing that really bother that much
The localization is amazing. You can get to a lot of famous places and restaurants just by walking. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming, especially one of the front desk staff that was a girl with short hair! Very very helpful and cordial.

AustraliaSmall rooms but prime location = cost/size. No coffee machine in room. I suspect a victim of COVID cost changes. This is the only place on our 6 week trip to Italy northern Spain & France that didn’t have one available in the room. There was a machine downstairs for a €2 cost/ cup. We don’t like to do anything or see anyone before a coffee in the mornings.
Proximity to everything - easy walking. Metro close by, Luxembourg gardens & St Germain. I couldn’t really fault this hotel - friendly helpful staff. Self service bar available. This is our return visit after 10 years.

United KingdomThe room was smaller than expected but adequately equipt for a comfortable stay. The main entrance to the hotel is locked later in the evening, we had to wait a while before the night receptionist came to let us in. The lift is tiny and dark so felt a bit claustrophobic going up four floors!
The hotel is a lovely traditional Parisian accommodation in a great location. Situated a short walk from Odeon Station, and also around the corner from the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens, the hotel provides the perfect base for a stay in Paris. There are a some great cafés and restaurants nearby the hotel. Highly recommend a lovely place called Treize for a great breakfast or brunch, a short walk away from the hotel and opposite Luxembourg Gardens. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend Le Senat as a good place to stay for a visit to Paris.

ChinaThe first thing that needs to be improved is that the drainage system of the washbasin is very poor and it takes a long time for the water to be drained. During the stay, there was another incident. My friend from Paris came to visit me at the hotel and we were talking outside the hotel because my friend was smoking. Since the conversation was long, my friend and I wanted to go to the small courtyard outside the hotel lobby and sit down to continue the conversation. The lobby staff came over and said, "No! Because there are Windows in the rooms of the guests in the courtyard, I am worried that the noise will affect the rest of the guests. My friend replied to the staff in French: OK, we don't go to the outdoor yard, just talk in the lobby for a while. These warnings are normal, and we have complied with public morality! Also pay attention to the size of your voice. But to my great displeasure, the next morning, as I finished breakfast with my family and prepared to go out, this short, hairless male staff member told me once again that there were residents' Windows in the yard and warned me to pay attention. I was upset, first, that I didn't need to be reminded twice, and that my family and I were planning to go out for fun and not go to the yard at all. Second, I think it is biased against Chinese people! I don't speak French, otherwise I have to reason with this staff member!! My family and I are polite and cultured people!
This was the second time my family stayed at this boutique hotel as we liked the quiet location. Although the hotel is a little far from the Odeon metro station, it is quiet, 200 meters from the Luxembourg Park and 5 minutes walk from the Pantheon. There are many boutiques, restaurants and bars around. A 5-minute walk is the supermarket where the Logo is a comma. The two standard rooms booked this time are not big. The first time I checked in was a deluxe room, I remember it was a Loft structure, and the children loved it. The hotel is a buffet breakfast, sausage, bacon, yogurt, fruit, eggs.
