It was expensive. Perhaps for that money I would have expected the staff to be around a bit more although this was not a problem for us. No food was offered in the restaurant on the Sunday for lunch or in the evening. It did not matter to us as we were visiting friends but some other people who we met outside wanted to stay there and went away because of the lack of food.

I liked the swimming pool, the breakfast and the comfortable mattress. The setting is very pleasant with the nice gardens.

The first room we was given had not be cleaned. The pillows smelled greasy hair. The dust was completely unacceptable. We changed rooms to a slightly cheaper room but still dusty, poor shower. Rooms completely dilapidated and old, smelly fridge and no coffee making facility's. Resturant menu very pretentious and nothing light to eat, and very over priced. Also no choice really for vegeterians. Plus we could not understand it, but the waiter who spoke English did not really seem happy to help. I guess we are in France but still who learns a whole new language for 1 weeks holiday? English does speaking people do stay here, so a little translation would of helped. Couldn't use the swimming pool because it was green around the edges also.

Road to main entrance was closed, would have been helpful to have this on main website.

Really friendly staff, they kept the restaurant open for us as we arrived late due to bad weather.

They are a little skimpy on the toiletries provided.

A lovely small country hotel in a very peaceful setting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, nicely furnished and very clean. But the restaurant makes the place. The service was excellent, the food likewise, and the wine outstanding, and a fire in the open fireplace was perfect. The cost was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Dinner was in our opinion poor value for money compared to other similar hotels we have stayed in

Good location. Lovely terrace but weather too poor to use. Very easy ro park.

Lovely hotel, in a quiet setting, very comfortable, with good facilities. Swimming pool was a bonus in the hot weather, and the food was excellent

Slightly old fashioned décor - a bit corporate rather than 'boutique'.

The peaceful setting and extensive grounds although the weather was not good enough at our visit unfortunately to take advantage of these.

Position of bar, right in hall beside reception, would have liked to go for a drink but wouldn't have felt comfortable due to its position and was either too hot or wet to sit outside

The hotel stands in its own grounds, it is easy to find and has good parking. It has a nice swimming pool, which was a welcome bonus on a hot day. The bedroom was a good size and clean and comfortable. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, as was breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a very nice outside sitting area, overlooking the grounds.
