We had 2 rooms and the shower in one didn't have a cubicle - only a curtain which was insufficient.

Great views and very attentive staff. Great location looking down to the lake.

    Nothing.

Everything about the auberge is/was charming. Obviously family run and everyone friendly. Our rooms were comfortable with great views down the valley and everything spotlessly clean. The biggest surprise was the excellence of the evening meal which surpassed all expectations and was incredible value. If we are ever in the area again we will go back for a longer stay.

This is a place to stop over en route rather than a destination in its own right. I was passing through and it was convenient for me.

    Lovely staff. Helpful and accommodating.

View from the room at the back of the hotel which overlooked a scruffy wall. Curtains did not fit and furnishings not great either.

Drinking wine outside with a distant view of a lake

Access to bedrooms....not suitable for elderly people (us) as the stairs resembled a spiral staircase with no handrail on the outside (widest) part of the stairs, necessitating going up and down at the narrowest part of the tread. With a suitcase it was extremely hazardous.

Breakfast excellent. Pleasant village, albeit a little run down, as was the hotel, but with good views.

Where to begin? The auberge is a small, very tired building downstairs that seems in need of a good tidying up. You have to walk through the bar, past a surly drinker to reach the grubby spiral staircase. Upstairs the rooms have been hacked out of an old building with all the style, taste and materials available from the nearest skip. Then the room. Stained pink carpet, orange walls, orange curtains, red bed cover (with touches of orange). Room overlooking main village road with the 'outdoor pavilion' directly opposite, also on main road. Bathroom dark and furnished as a wet room which had shower water everywhere but down the drain. Curious huge white mdf wardrobe filling all of one wall, totally empty except for one lonely wire clearances. We had intended to have breakfast but simply wanted to escape the next day. This is not a typical simple auberge, it is a depressing, ugly rip off that shouldn't be allowed to advertise.

Decent bed.Food a fair price and tasty. Friendly receptionist.
