Modern extension was cold in design. I first stayed there 10 years ago and it was smaller and more charming in those days. Coach party of American students made the place feel more like a youth hostel than a charming country hotel.

The dinner was excellent and very good value for money. 50 metres from Chateau Villandry means location is excellent too.

Misleading photos on the website-we were given a room more like a room at a youth detention facility.Pieces of different wallpaper stuck over each other.poor quality furnishings and overall poor appearance.Bathroom absolutely dated and subject to same DIY skills as decorator.Carpets are mismatched and threadbare in public areas.Get them to take misleading photos down or bring hotel up to the standard they indicate.Despite location will not visit again.

Hotel decor was in poor condition. Scratched paint work and wall paper pealing off the wall, this made it difficult for the standard of cleanliness to be of the highest level.

Excellent breakfast, well presented and generous. Delicious dinner, perfectly cooked and served. Linen in rooms and dining area exceptionally well laundered. Every effort had been made by the staff to help us enjoy our stay. It is very child friendly!

The decor is "tired" and needs upgrading. The paintwork is scratched and there was wallpaper peeled off the walls in the toilet. The rooms were clean but struggling to appear so because of the lack of decoration and repair.

The food was exceptional. The three course dinner was perfectly cooked and completely delicious. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Room was a bit airless, and the bathroom window did not open.

Handy location, and evening meal and breakfast were both good. Easy to find and get back onto main routes. Attractive exterior and location was well-kept

As stated above it was an unseasonably hot period of weather and a fan in the room would have been welcome.

Unpretentious roadside inn just adjacent to the famous gardens at Villandry. Has had a bit of a refurb in a more modern style. Fairly basic room but comfortable enough. On a holiday weekend with very hot weather and no a/c we had to keep the windows open which inevitably let in a quite a lot of tourist street noise. Dinner and breakfast in the astroturf 'garden' out back were fine. Staff worked hard and did a good job.

The whole thing was poor. Hotel a bit rundown in the bedroom and the car park was full and the village was a large building site. Not told this when we booked. Shame as we had stayed 10 years before and really enjoyed the hotel. Will not go again.

Car park is very gravelly. Not good for motorcyclists. Hopefully its a temporary measure.

Stayed there a lot in the mid 90's First time back for several years. Still a good hotel. Staff work very hard to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

It will need exterior decoration and a lick of paint inside very soon but you could say that about many small French hotels.

The quality of the bed linen and sleep comfort in a quiet room. It was a Holiday weekend and everywhere was very busy. The staff were particularly welcoming and the restaurant was overbooked and there was a staff shortage however the team worked doubly hard to serve everybody. The bedrooms are located in the newer wing and overlook aside street all very quiet.

Broken ceiling tiles in Restaurant. Limited furnishings in Annex Bedroom which was only partially decorated with basic plumbing. Not up to the standard of other Inter-Hotels.

Not a lot to like here. Be early for breakfast otherwise it will be 'gone'.
