Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomParking at hotel is a premium but free parking off site very close by if not. Be aware nothing open at all to eat at on a Monday evening so plan for this.
Location is great for La Clusaz. Our 6th time staying here as a family for our ski week. Great place, kids love it, pool table and games room, several great places to eat in Thones. Rooms cleaned daily. Always warm! Street below hotel is now pedestrianised which is a bonus too for any noise.

FranceWhen I looked the pictures I didn’t see that the hotel was an old building, I mean not that old. The room was really small, the bathroom/toilet was as big as a closet. I got the feeling that I was in a 80’s movie ! 😅 The corridor is an open space on the 5th stairs so it is really noisy, and the smells of the kitchen comes so quickly into your room : wasn’t nice.
The staff was really nice and polite. The room was ready before 3p.m. and clean. The breakfast was ok. The price was mostly about the location (not far from ski location) but as it was during holidays, if wasn’t that expensive.

Czech RepublicI guess it goes with hotels in older buildings but the room, other than being very small, was everything but sound proofed (well isolated from outside, poorly from inside noises). Luckily, my neighbours were quiet but i could hear their phone vibrating (no joking). So a bit of a gambling. I got lucky and had a great stop over.
Great staff, perfect location, good restaurant and space to park the motorbike in the back yard. The hotel is right in the center (easy access) yet rather quiet (my room was facing the courtyard). The bedroom is small but recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom brand new. Perfect for a one night stop.

United KingdomThe kids room in the annex - this stank of smoke. I think someone who lives in the ground floor apartment must smoke. It was good the key was left out for us when we arrived (this was out of hours) but a leaflet with some information about the hotel wouldn't been good, e.g. the fact that the common room provided wine and bread etc wouldn't been nice to know.
One of our rooms was nice ( in the hotel). Also the communal room with pool table, dining table was nice in the evening.

United Kingdomon arrival the strictly non smoking room absolutely stank of smoke. people were also smoking elsewhere in the building. we raised our concerns to the duty manager and she said she would get back to us- she didn’t. we checked out early the next morning and raised the issue again and the lady on duty could not have cared less. not only is it disgusting and offensive but unhealthy.
