Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt’s in an area of Bordeaux that is very popular, so there are people having fun down in the street/square. We love to see happy people so it was something we enjoyed (some would not). Floors make noise, but it is old so that is expected. There is a winding staircase, may be difficult for some, we did fine.
Our view was amazing!! Our suite was wonderfully decorated, had so much character, and was very clean. Loved the bar in the hotel. Staff was very helpful.

AustraliaOne small thing, but not a deal breaker. On the last day the staff who manned the breakfast weren't that attentive to the guests at breakfast. The young guy waiting tables seemed more interested in looking at his mobile phone the whole time, than serving the house guests for breakfast. I tried to get his attention several times to get an orange juice, and then later for a second coffee(both of which were great when they finally came.) Just a tad annoying his txting and phone got better attention. The rest of the staff were fantastic, by comparison on arrival the young guy at the bar gave us helpful hints on where to go and restaurants to and offered us a welcome water, and our suitcases were taken upstairs which was really appreciated.
Breakfast was great, with freshly squeezed orange juice, and great coffee, plus a selection of pastries and fresh fruit, and cereals. And we sat on the outside chairs opposite the bar/reception, next to the Cathedral. Lovely spot. Also the room was a good size and bathroom great. Towel rail had broken off the wall, but no big deal. And bed was very comfy, and very very clean room. The hotel is a great little boutique hotel, which is what we really liked about it. A most enjoyable stay!

UkraineThe only downside was that there was no door to the toilet. I understand it may be a design choice, but it felt uncomfortable, especially when staying with a partner.
I really enjoyed the cozy room and the beautiful view of the cathedral. The location was great, especially for exploring the city.

United KingdomOnly downside was small things - a coffee machine but no coffee pods, no bottle opener (requested one from the bar which was fine), bathroom door handle loose, shower head didn't stay in the holder so you had to hold it to shower properly - small things that you wouldn't expect when paying that amount for a property, if addressed would have made the place perfect.
Really cute boutique apartment, fab old building and amazing location, all in all a very enjoyable stay though, thanks!

United KingdomGreat location and lovely overall experience The location was excellent—set in a lovely square that was perfect for drinks, with the added bonus of a wine bar and small plates right next door. The hotel was well run overall, and our room was fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and great value for money considering the location and facilities. Breakfast, however, was a bit underwhelming. There wasn’t much choice, and the staff member on duty mentioned she was new and working short-staffed. She did her best and was friendly and helpful, but definitely could have used more support, especially as the hotel offers a light continental breakfast to non-guests as well. Unfortunately, my son's room had a strong sewage smell coming from either the shower or toilet, which was disappointing. Hopefully, this can be addressed as it's otherwise a great place to stay. Despite a couple of issues, I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a great spot with lots of potential and excellent value for the area. Let me know if you'd like to make it more formal or shorter!

NetherlandsThe top floor of the duplex wasn't air-conditioned and was a sauna. There was a small rain storm and the rain leaked through the window. The bathroom was very basic and a bit dated.
Friendly staff and great location on the square with the cathedral. We had a duplex which was spacious, clean and comfortable in the main. If the top floor of the duplex was the same as the bottom floor the rating would be much higher!

BelgiumThe size of the room is a bit stretchy. A certain pipe smell in the shower could be resolved in order to make it a memorable stay at this hotel.
The staff was very gentle, polite and helpful. Ready to provide a lot of useful information, bilingual. The hotel is very nicely decorated, and the bar inside and outside with live music on Thursday evening made a cozy atmosphere.

United KingdomOnly one pillow on the bed - but we asked for more after the first night and got them, thank you.
The service and the staff at this hotel were exceptional - they were so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is lovely, very well presented and spotlessly clean. The square the hotel is set in is lovely and we enjoyed sitting at the pavement tables in the evening enjoying a cheese board and wine. The location was good, just a few minutes walk into the main old town area and 5 minutes from the station in a taxi. Freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast was delicious!
