Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

All perfect... please don't change anything
A super location...quiet but only 5 minutes walk from Salers. Everything you could possibly need, including a magnificent breakfast, provided for an exceptional stay. All made possible by the attention to detail and warm welcome from Jean-Claude.

Amazing location, a walking distance to the town. Quiet surrounded by fields, trees The convivial breakfast, we met people and made friends. The host Jean Claude is the best, very friendly , helpful great guide who loves the region and knows a lot about it and very good at sharing it.

In the otherwise great bedroom, it was quite tricky to sit up in bed, owing to the sloping ceiling of the converted loft bedroom. Lighting was stylish but not great for reading.
Beautiful location, very handy for a delightful walk into Salers, avoiding the parking hassle of the town. Lovely old building, tastefully modernised. Great kitchen use possibility and guest fridge. Good base for walking in the stunning Puy Mary , Puy Violent areas. Jean Luc is a great host, anxious to help. Lots of knowledge and books on local history, geology, sentier routes etc Great view from the bedroom, which was spacious and with a good bathroom. Communal breakfast is interesting , chatting to folks from France and Belgium.

Our room was very comfortable, and in a lovely rural setting. Only a short walk or drive to the village Salers. Jean-Claude was very hospitable & we enjoyed a delicious breakfast hosted by him. Thankyou

The carpet in the bedroom was a little hard on ones feet!

We loved everything! 100% recommend.
Beautiful, tranquil location, a very short walk to Salers, a private path provides a shortcut. Very comfortable room with A/C. The room also had a very efficient fan. Important as we visited during a heatwave. The best thing about our visit was our host. He really wanted us to have a memorable stay, he offered excellent advice for activities we could enjoy despite the soaring temperatures. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was prepared to order - ask for it and he will do his very best to accommodate you!

5/10 minute walk to the centre of the lovely village of Salers. Quiet location. Nice room and facilities. The owners were great and offered conversation and information. There was a superb collection of books and guides to the region. The walks in the Volcans are excellent and this is a great location for a number of them.

Very pleasant place. The barns is great and the room was fantastic in all aspects and the owners were quite courteous, pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast and a great time to chat and share experiences and ideas about the world today.

You couldn't move half a metre in the bedroom or bathroom without the floor creaking noisily, which was a bit off-putting.
The chambre d'hôtes is in a great location, not far from Salers and the view from the bedroom window was excellent.
