Very expensive, not worth the money if you're not going to dine in the 3 Michelin star restaurant (and even then it's still too expensive)

Large and very comfortable room, fit to a 5 star hotel

Valence not a destination place but very convenient off A6 route de soleil.

Amazing 3* Michelin restaurant. Standards quite exceptional. Watching the staff in the restaurant was like watching a ballet. Food of the highest quality and skill.

    1. Arriving at 6:00pm and being told that your room is not yet ready 2. The hotel manager making wrong assumptions about my nationality based on my last name 3. The fact that I had to call housekeeping twice in an hour: once to get a lid to be able to fill up the bathtub and another time to request a hairdryer. Apparently those items are optional in a 5-star hotel... 4. Finally it’s sad that for 33€ per person, the in-room breakfast contains a mini fruit salad that you have to share up for two. When asking the waitress if there isn’t a mistake there, she replied with a dry and condescending « you’ll have to share it » So I’m following her advice to the letter and I’m sharing this disappointing experience

The bed was very uncomfortable. Pushing 2 singles together with no mattress topper on a high end hotel is poor. We didn’t sleep and wouldn’t come back.

The style, layout and fittings were very interesting and very nice.

This property has a world famous gastronomic temple, Anne Sophie Pic, where the finest food at the highest imaginable prices is served. It also has a more casual, traditional restaurant, Andre, that is modern, chic and serves carefully prepared regional and French dishes at very reasonable prices.

Unable to answer this question as everything and everyone was fabulous.

What is not to like at this hotel. VIP treatment all the way. My second stay at this hotel and hopefully not my last. Last time we eat in the gourmet restaurant this time in the bistro. Both excellent.

Superb hotel and staff; not necessarily an English-friendly experience.

Town of Valence is not particularly appealing. Scarcity of electrical outlets/plugs in the room made it difficult to charge multiple devices. No exercise/gym facilities. We were genuinely surprised 1) that the menu in Sophie PIC was not translated into English, making it difficult to understand what we were eating, and 2) English explanations of the truly memorable meal was inadequate, again making it difficult to genuinely appreciate the meal...

Staff and service were exceptional. Dinner at Sophie PIC (Michelin 3-star) was extraordinary. Overall hotel experience was truly 5-star.

Of course the reason for staying at this hotel is for the gastronomic restaurant, but it was a superb hotel nonetheless. And the restaurant was absolutely amazing! The whole experience is wonderfully choreographed by the charming staff and the food more than lived up to its reputation. Unforgettable.

We ordered two gin and tonics at the bar. The price was €50 which seems excessive. In the Bistro restaurant we asked the sommelier to recommend a local wine that was dry and white. He kept recommending really expensive wines so we made our own choice and we were very pleased with the wine. We did not have breakfast as we thought €33 each was very high.

The modern decor and furnishings were very edgy. The bed was super comfortable and the staff could not have been more helpful. We ate in the Bistro restaurant where the prices were reasonable and quality of food very good

The bistro was under renovation so they devised a winter cabin as an alternative. We were booked there for a special Valentine dinner. Unfortunately the staff was overwhelmed and service was erratic and the length of the multi course dinner took way too long.

The dinner in the classic Sophie Pic restaurant in Valence was excellent and did not disappoint in its creativity and combinations of flavors. Anne Sophie Pic stopped by our table twice to talk with us. And as hotel guests we were given a small private room that looked out on the patio and a peek at the kitchen.

Would have expected breakfast to be included in very high price not to have to pay an additional 30 euros each. Charged 10 euros for a cup of tea? Only Pic restaurant open in the evening. Although lovely fare, took far too long to serve. We left the restaurant after midnight without finishing our courses having been there over 4 hours.
