How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A true walk up authentic Parisian hotel - 4 flights of stairs at end of a day of walking -well my legs were not happy😊) very tight( small) room and shower unit exceptionally tight - a30 inch by 30 inch unit with only 14 inch access into it

Very short and narrow bed. Its for one person, no for two. The fridge didnt work.
It was near centrum of Paris, pattiserie, shops and lot of restaurants.

The room was very loud. People making noise every night in the stair case and dragging luggages on the stairs at 5am. No sound proofing whatsoever. Breakfast had no meat options for someone who doesnt eat pork. Bread was old. Very limited choices. We had a problem with train connections and staff wasnt very eager to try to help or provide any information

The only thing is how small the room is, but end of the day we were just there to sleep so it wasn’t a big deal! Still a great hotel.

The room was extremely small, much smaller than I was anticipating. There are no elevators so you have to walk your luggage up. Im not in the best shape and had to literally squeeze into the shower, scraping my stomach in the process.
This was a great last minute option. Just a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. They tried to make the hotel very cute!

Room was very small and be aware that there is a very steep narrow spiral staircase to get to your room On one occasion when leaving at night, the rude French guy requested that we had to always leave our key card room with him every time we left which we felt uneasy doing but every other time there were other staff on we never encountered this! Seems very strange

So it had lots of stairs. This was fine as we were fit. Others may have struggled.

The breakfast was bad to me, cause I’m allergic to gluten and don’t eat pork. No simple omelette or scramble offered, there were only a couple of raw eggs to cook by yourself, yoghurts, and bakeries. So had to eat outside the hotel

Very small room. Extremely small shower, I’m 210 lbs size 34 waist, I kept bumping into shower.handle turning it off. Maintenance had to fix leaks in bathroom and air conditioner which leaked across room.
Location was great! Clean room close to the Eiffel town and great value. Staff was great.

The room was small and not like the images on the site.
It was comfortable, clean and quiet. Literally 10 minutes from the eiffel tower, and well situated for walking to the Lourve or the Arc de Triomphe.

Elevator. Carrying large bags up a spiral staircase 5 flights of stairs was very difficult. Just be aware when booking that no lift / elevator is available. Also the rooms are nice but very small.
Location was great - can't beat the location for the price. One of the few hotels we looked at that would store our luggage. Great little courtyard for breakfast.
